[Bug 41266] Re: Printing: Unable to rename printer

2019-04-10 Thread Bent Haase via ubuntu-bugs
The issue persists in 2019 with Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (GNOME Shell 3.28.3).

It's a shame that this issue has been around for 9 years and status
'Won't Fix'. It's quite a simple thing but still relevant. It's quite
hard to make out the correct printer with the name 'Unknown' in the list
of unknown printers...

Is there any way to get this fixed?

[Bug 1086506] Re: NetworkManager applet wireless connections refresh too slow

2015-11-12 Thread Bent Haase
This also concerns me since a few years in Ubuntu now.
Why not finally adding a simple "refresh button" in the dropdown menu, which
executes some code like this:

`iwlist wlanXYZ scan`

Also giving the user a simple option to change the auto refresh interval
would make using wireless networks way more convenient. Sometimes you
have to wait for minutes until Ubuntu finally connects to a WIFI
network when you don't manually restart the network manager so you force
the system to refresh the network list.

[Bug 748539] Re: Multi-monitor - Panel and launcher visible on top of multimonitor non-focused fullscreen apps

2015-09-10 Thread Bent Haase
I can relate to #38, having exactly the same setup with the same hassle. Why
not simply add the functionality to set the Unity top bar in the screen
settings. There is an option for the Launcher Position (either Screen A or B or
both) why not the same for Unity?
I hope this will be fixed with Unity 8.
