[Bug 1] Re: Microsoft has a majority market share
OK, I gave this another thought and I came to the conclusion that we should all switch back to Windows and I'll tell you why. If we all go to our local computer store, buy the latest Windows edition and install it on our computers then this will bring lots of cash into Microsoft's money bags. But as we all know, this money will not be used for research or the development of new bloatware. No! OMG, now #001 shows up 10 (!) times in my bug list and clutters my Bugs related to ... page. And just because I posted an innocent joke here. Does this really need to have so many Affects? Almost seems like poor old Bill Gates is a scapegoat for all our problems. :=) -- Microsoft has a majority market share https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 258675] [NEW] awn processes pile up whenever awn is invoked
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: avant-window-navigator I noticed that awn and avant-window-navigator processes just keep piling up when I start Avant Window Navigator more than once. Couldn't awn be configured so that any new start of awn is treated as a restart? I guess there is no need to run awn more than once anyway. I noticed that this bug is related to (and probably the deeper reason for) bug #257939. ** Affects: avant-window-navigator (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- awn processes pile up whenever awn is invoked https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/258675 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 257939] Re: awn dock freezes sometimes
OK, so I just realized that I have a frozen bar on my screen because there are some awn processes still lingering. The frozen bar disappears if I kill these processes. That's why I filed another bug #258675. -- awn dock freezes sometimes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257939 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 258695] [NEW] No Properties option on right-click in the Ubuntu main menu
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-main-menu I guess this is a wish: when I browse through the Applications main menu in Gnome and I right-click on a particular app, I get the menu Add this launcher to Panel/Desktop, etc. But why not get the Properties of a launcher on right-click? Sort of like with Firefox bookmarks: right-click menu contains a Properties option. Currently, I would have to go to Edit Menus, then browse to my app and then right-click on Properties. ** Affects: gnome-main-menu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gnome-main-menu I guess this is a wish: when I browse through the Applications main menu in Gnome and I right-click on a particular app, I get the menu Add this launcher to Panel/Desktop, etc. But why not get the Properties of a launcher on right-click? [Bug 257936] Re: Back/Forward does not work in awn file browser applet
I just understood the point of this: Back and Forward here mean Scroll Up and Scroll Down. But this is very confusing, since Back and Forward in a file browser ususally mean Last Dir and Next Dir. It would be nice to have the scrolling done with the mouse wheel, btw. -- Back/Forward does not work in awn file browser applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257936 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 257899] [NEW] awn terminal applet has no copy/paste option on right-click
Public bug reported: The terminal applet in awn has not option to copy and paste. Right-click does not do anything. I have seen this discussion in a couple of threads on the internet before and it was claimed there that this has been fixed, but I just installed the latest awn (August 2008) from the awn- testing repos and it doesn't work for me. [Bug 257932] [NEW] awn affinity search applet is buggy
Public bug reported: The awn affinity search applet is buggy. 1) the Manage Software link is not working for me 2) the Recent Documents list is not updated in my version 3) the search line freezes sometimes, i.e. cannot enter anything into it My awn is 0.3.1. ** Affects: awn-extras-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- awn affinity search applet is buggy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257932 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 257936] [NEW] Back/Forward does not work in awn file browser applet
Public bug reported: The Back and Forward buttons do not work properly in the awn file browser applet. For example, I start from my home then go up once and there is no Back option there (even though it should be). If I go up again to the root system, then I still have no Back but I do have a Forward (?). [Bug 257939] [NEW] awn dock freezes sometimes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: avant-window-navigator The awn dock can freeze in my installation. That means that I have an awn dock on my screen which can not be removed anymore (completely frozen) and any new dock that comes up sort of hovers of the old frozen one. [Bug 257939] Re: awn dock freezes sometimes
I haven't really found any pattern for this behaviour atm. But I wanted to know if other people experienced the same. As the version, I just installed awn yesterday and I had 0.2.? first (from the reacocard repos), then updated to 0.3.1 (from awn-testing). Don't remember, but I think this problem occurred in both versions. As I said, I'm just using awn for less than a day and had this problem twice. -- awn dock freezes sometimes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257939 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 130235] Re: Autohide Not At All -- stays up
Can confirm this bug and I think it's really a bug, not just an interesting mouse gesture function. For example, you can move the pointer down to make the dock come up and then (quickly) move the pointer up just while the dock comes up. If you try a little you will be able to get something similar: the dock stays up and does not hide. -- Autohide Not At All -- stays up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 257939] Re: awn dock freezes sometimes
OK, so output to gconftool-2 -g '/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager' is false. I can also attach a screenshot of my awn dock (awn-dock.png) and the frozen bar (frozen-bar.png). Let me say again that this behaviour does not occur all the time, awn generally works pretty well. But once the frozen bar/dock is on my desktop, I cannot remove it unless with a restart. ** Attachment added: awn-dock.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/16840933/awn-dock.png -- awn dock freezes sometimes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257939 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
