[Bug 2066383] [NEW] PlayOnLinux: include mandatory dependency
Public bug reported: PlayOnLinux requires asyncore from python3 to work. The deb package doesn't include this depend, so to fix this bug is necessary to include python3-pyasyncore in mandatory dependency to get working without issues. [Bug 417428] Re: No HDMI Audio with Intel HDAudio
I'm trying to use my wife's laptop to watch movies and TV Shows on my LCD TV. I'm using a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. My wife always used the Windows Vista (came with laptop) to watch videos, but the Windows Vista was not handling well (performance issues) the high definition videos. So I convinced her to make a dual boot on laptop using Ubuntu. Laptop is D'ell Inspiron 1525 laptop and the TV is a Samsung LCD TV 26. There is no audio when I plug the HDMI cable. I have tried a bunch of attempts to configure the audio output (searching on Google), but none of it works. Even when I try to run 'speaker-test' there is no audio at all. I'm very pleased if someone can help to figure out what is wrong. Follow the output of my configuration: and...@andrea-laptop:~$ uname -a Linux andrea-laptop 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux and...@andrea-laptop:~$ cat /etc/lsb-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=10.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=lucid DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and...@andrea-laptop:~$ aplay -l Lista de Dispositivos PLAYBACK Hardware placa 0: Intel [HDA Intel], dispositivo 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog] Dispositivo secundário: 1/1 Dispositivo secundário #0: subdevice #0 placa 0: Intel [HDA Intel], dispositivo 3: INTEL HDMI [INTEL HDMI] Dispositivo secundário: 1/1 Dispositivo secundário #0: subdevice #0 and...@andrea-laptop:~$ aplay -L pulse Playback/recording through the PulseAudio sound server front:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, STAC92xx Analog Front speakers surround40:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, STAC92xx Analog 4.0 Surround output to Front and Rear speakers surround41:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, STAC92xx Analog 4.1 Surround output to Front, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround50:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, STAC92xx Analog 5.0 Surround output to Front, Center and Rear speakers surround51:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, STAC92xx Analog 5.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround71:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, STAC92xx Analog 7.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Side, Rear and Woofer speakers hdmi:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, INTEL HDMI HDMI Audio Output and...@andrea-laptop:~$ speaker-test -Dplughw:0,3 speaker-test 1.0.22 Dispositivo de reprodução é plughw:0,3 Parâmetros do stream são 48000Hz, S16_LE, 1 canais Usando 16 oitavas de ruído rosa Taxa alterada para 48000Hz (requisitada 48000Hz) Tamanho do buffer tem um intervalo de 64 à 1048576 Tamanho do período tem um intervalo de 32 à 524288 Usando tamanho máximo de buffer 1048576 Períodos = 4 period_size definido = 262144 buffer_size definido = 1048576 0 - Da Esquerda Tempo por peíodo = 5,510002 0 - Da Esquerda Tempo por peíodo = 5,509826 0 - Da Esquerda Tempo por peíodo = 5,509962 0 - Da Esquerda Tempo por peíodo = 5,509874 0 - Da Esquerda Tempo por peíodo = 5,509898 0 - Da Esquerda ^C -- No HDMI Audio with Intel HDAudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/417428 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 311781] Re: Ricoh 5 in 1 card reader not working on Ubuntu 8.10 / 9.04
Hi Scott, I tried this: sudo setpci -s 07:05.2 0xCA=0x57 sudo setpci -s 07:05.2 0xCB=0x02 sudo setpci -s 07:05.2 0xCA=0x00 But didn't work. I read both, the post you sent me and the blog linked in the post, twice to ensure that I did everything correct. This kind of problem is a shame, in my opinion. Now that I get free from windows on my laptop I find a issue like this one. I'm not able to get my pictures of my camera in a easy way. Anyway, thanks for your help. -- Ricoh 5 in 1 card reader not working on Ubuntu 8.10 / 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311781 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
