[Bug 1923352] Re: speedtest-cli crashed with ValueError in get_config(): invalid literal for int() with base 10: ''

2021-05-27 Thread Bjørn Sune Bruun Andersen
I have tested Groovy:

1 - Verified that the issued still existed using Command Line speedtest
2 - Upgraded to Proposed, version 2.1.2-2
3 - Verified that the package now works using Command Line speedtest as
described in the test plan above.

Results are ok.

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is experiencing the same bug - is there a plan to
backport the fix?

[Bug 1925319] [NEW] Bugfix in Focal?

2021-04-21 Thread Bjørn Sune Bruun Andersen
Public bug reported:

Relating to #1923354 and #1923354 - will the fix be part of Focal or
will all Focal LTS users have to wait until 2022 to get speedtest
working?

[Bug 1923354] [NEW] Speedtest suddenly fails

2021-04-11 Thread Bjørn Sune Bruun Andersen
Public bug reported:

A few days ago speedtest (version 2.1.2-2) started to fail with the
following error:

Retrieving speedtest.net configuration...
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/speedtest", line 11, in
load_entry_point('speedtest-cli==2.1.2', 'console_scripts', 'speedtest')()

shell()
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/speedtest.py", line 1872, in shell
speedtest = Speedtest(
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/speedtest.py", line 1091, in __init__
self.get_config()
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/speedtest.py", line 1173, in get_config
ignore_servers = list(
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: ''

OS is Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS with regularly updated to the latest and
greatest - this has not been an issue in the past. No new SW / packages
installed resently.

It appears that other users experience similiar issues:
