[Bug 1196795] Re: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s! [inotifywait:21818]
I've been running CrashPlan since January 2012 and given that I've been on raring April 12, 2013 and this bug hit on July 1st, it appears that moving to the latest upstream kernel wouldn't indicate if its been fixed there or not unless I run it for many months, given it took 1.5 months for it to crop up one time. This is also a production box, running public email and web servers. So I'm inclined not to test the latest kernel, unless you think it's going to be pretty risk free and worth the effort. Let me know your thoughts. [Bug 1107400] [NEW] Request upgrade to 3.4.5
Public bug reported: Hello, The latest Zookeeper is now 3.4.5 [1] which adds Kerberos authentication of clients [2], multi-updates, an improved REST API and improved operational support [3]. Cloudera considers 3.4.4 the first stable release in the 3.4.x line and as such are including it in their CDH4.2 release [4]. It would be great if the Ubuntu package was updated. I've opened a bug in Debian to request the update, which could be pulled into Ubuntu [5]. [Bug 957727] [NEW] apr: update to 1.4.6 to fix svn fsfs repository corruption
Public bug reported: APR releases before 1.4.6 have a faulty truncate() implementation that can cause svn fsfs repository corruption. The next release of svn 1.6.x has a workaround for the issue, see: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revisionrevision=1240892 But since svn added the workaround, APR released 1.4.6 which has the fix in it: http://www.apache.org/dist/apr/CHANGES-APR-1.4 So updating to 1.4.6 will resolve any corruption issues in svn (due to this issue). [Bug 957727] Re: apr: update to 1.4.6 to fix svn fsfs repository corruption
Also affects oneiric and lucid. For oneiric and precise, it would be great just to update to 1.4.6 since it's ABI compatible. For lucid, one could take these two commits from apr's trunk and apply them to the 1.3.x branch. Re: [Bug 920284] Re: Sync maven 3.0.4-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Hi James, That was my sense too that a merge wasn't required to satisfy maven itself, but given I'm new to Ubuntu packaging I took on the request. BTW, since I have your attention, what is your take on the one MIR request in the maven sync request: libcommons-logging-java: synced, but will require MIR of libcommons-parent-java? [Bug 920284] Re: Sync maven 3.0.4-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Actually, it wasn't bad, the only additional package I needed to install directly from Debian was libaether-java from the aether package. Here's what works: $ apt-get install maven2 $ apt-get purge maven2 $ apt-get install libasync-http-client-java \ libguava-java \ libplexus-classworlds2-java \ libplexus-containers1.5-java \ libplexus-utils2-java \ libsisu-guice-java \ libsisu-ioc-java $ wget http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/a/aether/libaether-java_1.13.1-2_all.deb $ dpkg -i libaether-java_1.13.1-2_all.deb $ wget http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/maven/maven_3.0.4-1_all.deb $ dpkg -i maven_3.0.4-1_all.deb Doing this works with no complaints from dpkg, i.e. I didn't need to run 'apt-get -f install'. Another issue is if Ubuntu's dependencies are up to date to provide what Maven 3 needs, it's not easily to tell if something in Maven will break. Should we take a precise system with no maven dependencies installed, install maven and see what is installed, then sync those all from Debian? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/920284 Title: Sync maven 3.0.4-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/920284/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
