[Bug 1045991] [NEW] GLIBC COMPILATION FAILS ON HFS+ MADE BY HFSPROGS
Public bug reported: Using LFS 7.0 and 7.1, gcc-4.6.2, gcc-4.6.1, binutils 2.21.1a and binutils-2.22. Glibc fails to compile on HFS+ formatted by HFSProgs. An error similar to an -fPIC error, except it does not state to recompile with -fPIC. i686_GOTOFF Relocation error, on i686. I tried different versions of the entire toolchain. On i686 Install binutils install gcc install linux-headers install glibc -../glibc-2.16.0/configure \ --prefix=/tools \ --host=$LFS_TGT \ --build=$(../glibc-2.16.0/scripts/config.guess) \ --disable-profile \ --enable-add-ons\ --enable-kernel=2.6.25 \ --with-headers=/tools/include \ libc_cv_forced_unwind=yes \ libc_cv_ctors_header=yes\ libc_cv_c_cleanup=yes make -j2 make install Using the exact same procedure and commands I receive no errors on ext4. I filed a bug with the Glibc developers, and they said that it must be a bug with HFS+. PostScript I also receive a relocation error on x86_64 with the same versions and procedure. Sorry I forgot to mention- The error is with librtld.so and libc_pic.so ** Affects: hfsprogs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1045991 Title: GLIBC COMPILATION FAILS ON HFS+ MADE BY HFSPROGS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hfsprogs/+bug/1045991/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 830949] Re: [Intel N10 Graphics] Plugging in external monitor to VGA port makes both displays corrupted with thick slanted lines
>You can use your external monitors at their native resolution. You just >can't use Unity 3D at the same time, because it's broken. Allowing you >to set a broken configuration is not an improvement. While I get that point, and I get that it's 8 days before release, dual monitor support is a pretty big feature and one of the largest complaints of linux distro's in general is difficultly in getting graphics drivers to cooperate with other features. This seems to work fine for me in Natty. This bug will probably prevent me (and I'd suspect quite a few others) from upgrading. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830949 Title: [Intel N10 Graphics] Plugging in external monitor to VGA port makes both displays corrupted with thick slanted lines To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/830949/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 867863] [NEW] installer crashes when finding/creating boot partition on primary hard drive
Public bug reported: When using the ubiquity installer from live cd, installer can't find partition when trying to write /boot to sda (primary hard drive device), which is already home to a Windows partition. Trying to delete and create instead, causes the installer to crash. [Bug 841792] Re: Enabling/disabling secondary screen is flaky/unstable
I'm also having the same issue, using a Dell Latitude e6510 with 280.13 on a NVS3100m. Sometimes it works, and sometimes I get a screen full of artifiacts for about 13 seconds with 2 seconds left to respond to the toast, after which sometimes it seems compiz crashes (with no core left that I can find) with an assertion error somewhere in the boost library. I'll try to get some more details and attach them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/841792 Title: Enabling/disabling secondary screen is flaky/unstable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-settings/+bug/841792/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
