[Bug 275408] Re: [Intrepid] Unable to customize Firefox toolbars
Hi, I think I have the same issue. Downloaded the beta Alternate CD on the 23rd of october and installed fresh on a new laptop. I update at least twice per day. I am able to customize the toolbar, but after I close firefox and start it again, the changes are lost and I get the default lay-out. If there is anything I can do to help solve this, please let me know! -- [Intrepid] Unable to customize Firefox toolbars https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275408 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 275746] Re: Failed spamassassin pipe on Evolution (Intrepid)
Hi, I have the same issue. Downloaded the beta Alternate CD on the 23rd of october and installed fresh on a new laptop. Updated that evening and started Evolution. Imported my messages and settings from my Hardy laptop (using the import wizard) and got the same error when fetching mail (displayed in the statusbar). "Screenshot-Evolution Spamassassin error.png" is a screenshot of the error message. The preferences of Evolution confirm that Spamassassin is installed. (see "Screenshot-Evolution Preferences.png"). Spamassassin is running, confirmed by the following ps output: root 20148 8.9 0.7 31476 27700 ?Ss 17:58 0:00 /usr/sbin/spamd --create-prefs --max-children 5 --helper-home-dir -d --pidfile=/var/run/spamd.pid root 20157 0.0 0.7 31476 25736 ?S17:58 0:00 spamd child root 20158 0.0 0.7 31476 25736 ?S17:58 0:00 spamd child There are no errors displayed regarding to spamassassin when Evolution is run from a terminal. [Bug 237278] Re: virtualbox don't run when update-manager change the linux-kernel
> The module already depends on a kernel version, which causes already other problems (bug 226960) The package "virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.24-17-generic" depends on "linux-image-2.6.24-17-generic" but because the package "linux- image-2.6.24-17-generic" is retained when a kernel update is ditributed, the kernel gets updated and the dependencies are still met. So, for APT, all is well! Making "virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.24-17-generic" dependent on "linux- image-generic" with the exact version of 2.6.24-17 would hold back the kernel update until the correct virtualbox modules are available? Making "virtualbox-ose-modules-generic" dependent on any "virtualbox- ose-modules-xx-generic" package (an OR statement), would always install the correct modules for the installed kernel, when "virtualbox- ose-modules-generic" is installed? Only downside would be that people could be running a vulnerable kernel if the virtualbox modules are not updated fast enough... But for me personally, I wouldn't mind running a "vulnerable" kernel a day or two... Not being able to run virtualbox hampers me a lot more! I think you can't force end users to a terminal each time they receive a kernel update... [Bug 237278] Re: virtualbox don't run when update-manager change the linux-kernel
Would'n a dependency be a solution to this? Letting virtualbox-ose-modules-generic or virtualbox-ose- modules--generic have a dependency to the corresponding version of linux-image-generic would hold back the kernel update until the corresponding virtualbox modules are also available, right? -- virtualbox don't run when update-manager change the linux-kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 224760] Re: Unable to copy files to Novell Netware drive - ncpfs Nautilus
Whoops, I missed something. It's not the "libglib2.0-0" package that is being reported as broken, but the "libglib2.0-0-dev" package. I suppose its depencies will have to be adjusted. I suppose this will be the case when the update(s) come through the repositories? In the meanwhile, I removed the "libglib2.0-0-dev" package and all is working fine. Hi, I can also confirm that this is a working solution. Copying files to a NetWare server now works fine! Unforunately however, after installing the "Really the update" DEB, synaptic reports it as "Broken" and I cannot install or remove any other packages. I installed the DEB using "sudo dpkg -i libglib2.0-0_2.16.3-1ubuntu1_i386.deb".
