[Bug 942789] Re: suspend/wireless_before_suspend tries to disconnect an inactive device
It's true that the script shouldn't try and disconnect already inactive devices, but at the same time the whole concept of testing wireless before and after suspend depends on their being a pre-existing wireless connection. You *should* have been prompted to create one before this test ran (by virtue of the networking/wireless_connection running). Can you confirm if that was the case? If not we'll need to fix things so that networking/wireless_connection does run beforehand. I'm not saying this isn't a bug, but at best it's a matter of just prettifying the error - the test will and should fail anyway. ** Changed in: checkbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: checkbox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/942789 Title: suspend/wireless_before_suspend tries to disconnect an inactive device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox/+bug/942789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 942789] Re: suspend/wireless_before_suspend tries to disconnect an inactive device
Having got to the bottom of this issue, this is actually not a bug in Checkbox, but the nmcli tool used to drive the test. This: Error: Device 'eth0' (/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/1) disconnecting failed: This device is not active is not what is causing the test to fail. This is: ** WARNING **: handle_property_changed: failed to update property 'active-connections' of object type NMClient. Error: Timeout 90 sec expired. and it's (mostly) unrelated. We can still change the test so that it doesn't try and do pointless stuff like deactivating already inactive connections but that isn't the crux of the issue and isn't a considerable problem. ** Changed in: checkbox Importance: High = Low ** Changed in: checkbox (Ubuntu) Importance: High = Low ** Changed in: checkbox Milestone: 0.13.5 = None ** Changed in: checkbox Assignee: Checkbox Developers (checkbox-dev) = (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/942789 Title: suspend/wireless_before_suspend tries to disconnect an inactive device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox/+bug/942789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 947366] Re: [Lenovo e320] - cpu_scaling_test Fails
In this case it looks like the test passed, so the failure may be a one off. The outcome of this test is influenced by the system load at the time the test is run, and we try our best to limit this effect. For example the 'nice -n 20' runs the cpu_scaling_test with a very low 'niceness' level, meaning that it tries to steal all the cpu cycles. If there are a lot of other 'not nice' processes running at the same time this could impact the outcome. It's important not to do *any* other tasks on a test system while Checkbox is running or else the outcomes could be influenced by them. Run the command again and immediately after, echo $?. This will tell you the result - do this five times and if the result is always 0 then close the bug as Invalid. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947366 Title: [Lenovo e320] - cpu_scaling_test Fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/947366/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 942572] [NEW] Notify OSD panel is opaque when shown in the installer
Public bug reported: When notify-osd triggers during the install (such as when networks are detected or connected to) the panel shown is fully opaque. The border is dark grey and the centre is some random color (mainly aubergine, sometime orange, red or even blue). The same problem is not exhibited in the live session, otherwise I would assign this against notify-osd itself. [Bug 942078] [NEW] Initial attempt to connect to U1 service exhibits frequent disconnect/reconnects
Public bug reported: On this freshly installed system the first thing I attempted to do was setup Ubuntu One. After installing the client I waited for the folder list to appear so I could select folders to sync. Every few minutes the status pane would say that File Sync was disconnected. A few moments after that it would attempt to reconnect again. After a while I got tired of waiting and rebooted the system. [Bug 834731] Re: Dell PowerEdge R810 fails to mount file system at /dev/sda1
Also, sorry if this seems like the wrong question but doesn't the fact that it worked just fine with Natty indicate it's a genuine bug (hardware config would have been identical)? We want to check the USB subsystem is working properly. Just mounting a partition is not really good enough (would you test Wifi by just checking that it pairs with an access point?). I would suggest that we should try to write to every partition which is writable, and just ignore the ones that aren't. If no partitions are writable then maybe we need to fail the test (not enough info?) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/912522 Title: usb_test fails on non-writable filesystems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox/+bug/912522/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 907454] Re: [Dell Precision M4500] offlining and then re-onlining CPUs makes the system unresponsive
Daniel (or mtvoid) The Oneiric kernel had a patch reverted and was updated to 3.0.0-15.25; I'm not sure if the two issues are related but it might be worth testing again just to make sure the problem is still there. [Bug 907377] Re: HP ProLiant DL360 G6 has debootstrap errors during install of Precise Alpha 1
Joe, If the problem is with the kernel in the installer, how am I supposed to test with the upstream kernel?
