[Bug 289964] Re: [intrepid] firefox freezes when accesing www.grails.org
This appears to have been fixed by nVidia driver version 180. When I noticed the new driver was available, I was able to reproduce the freezing by visiting grails.org. Then after installing the new driver and rebooting the site rendered quickly with no freezing. The new driver also appears to have fixed the annoying 30 second delay every time I login (this was mentioned in the release notes of the driver). The driver was not automatically installed along with the other updates on my system. Instead I manually installed these packages: nvidia-180-kernel-source (180.11-0ubuntu1~intrepid1) nvidia-180-modaliases (180.11-0ubuntu1~intrepid1) nvidia-glx-180 (180.11-0ubuntu1~intrepid1) Which resulted in the following packages being removed: nvidia-177-kernel-source nvidia-glx-177 Hurray! These two bugs were making my experience with Ubuntu very unpleasant and now they are fixed. [Bug 95326] Re: sound juicer aac formatted files skip and...
After using the command: abcde -a cddb, read, encode, tag, move, playlist, clean -d /dev/cdrom -o m4a -V -x to rip the AAC files, it played correctly in Rythmbox but when I copied the files to my iPod shuffle, they didn't play. I tried using Amarok to copy the same files to my iPod and they worked fine. I'm switching to Amarok because of this bug. I needed to install the package libxine1-ffmpeg to get the AAC files to play in Amarok. I'm using Gutsy. -- sound juicer aac formatted files skip and... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
