[Bug 1906741] Re: Firefox sometimes causes garbled audio
This happens to me also. Weirdly, only Twitter videos seem affected. It's possible it happens elsewhere, but I haven't seen it yet. I've noticed another strange behavior that may be related to this bug. When selecting the rhythmbox indicator icon, the last used icon in the panel is highlighted. [Bug 540272] Re: Window does not always raise to the forefront when selecting a conversation from the tray icon

[Bug 540272] Re: Window does not always raise to the forefront when selecting a conversation from the tray icon
This behavior happens nearly every time for me. If someone sends an IM, the notification area flashes and I click on it, then select the conversation. At that point the new conversation window opens, but it opens underneath all other open windows. The application bar icon appears and is highlighted. Clicking that will raise the window to the foreground as it should. I'll try to take a video and post it to my website. -- Window does not always raise to the forefront when selecting a conversation from the tray icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540272 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 449260] Re: empathy needs a persistent new message indicator
Another vote for this bug. It's annoying and embarrassing to have missed an IM while AFK. People assume you are ignoring them when in fact, you just didn't know. I've compensated by explicitly checking when I get back to the computer, but really, that's not a good solution. Empathy should anticipate my needs as much as it is able, not the other way around. The indicator applet really should show some sign that a message was received while you were away. It could blink, change shape, or change color. All three, for all I care. For that matter, it could even be a configuration option allowing the user to select desired behavior. -- empathy needs a persistent new message indicator https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449260 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 494312] [NEW] indicator applet has insufficient notication mechanisms
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-applet Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.1 - all updates applied. The applet does not do enough to provide new message indicators. If the user is not at the computer when a message is received, there is nothing to indicate that unless they click on the icon. I suggest that the icon swap for a more obvious indicator, perhaps a green flashing disk like the old Empathy icon had. ** Affects: indicator-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- indicator applet has insufficient notication mechanisms https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
