[Bug 1246173] [NEW] Wireless Network Stops Responding When No Constant Activity
Public bug reported: I have been experiencing this in both 13.04 and 13.10. My desktop computer has a micro usb Belken N300 wireless adapter and if there is no constant activity the network stops responding. If I reselect my wireless SSID it will reconnect and the network regains traffic until the activity stops again. I have found leaving streaming data in the background, like large ftp file transfers, has been my temporary solution. Happy to help out where I can but I'm not sure where to start looking. nm-tool states: Type: 802.11 WiFi Driver:rtl8192cu State: connected lshw states: *-network description: Wireless interface physical id: 1 bus info: usb@1:3 logical name: wlan1 capabilities: ethernet physical wireless configuration: broadcast=yes driver=rtl8192cu driverversion=3.11.0-12-generic firmware=N/A link=yes multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11bgn ls mod states: rtl8192cu 67723 0 rtl_usb18448 1 rtl8192cu rtlwifi63229 2 rtl_usb,rtl8192cu rtl8192c_common48877 1 rtl8192cu mac80211 596969 3 rtl_usb,rtlwifi,rtl8192cu cfg80211 479757 2 mac80211,rtlwifi I have tried changing my wireless channel, turning off IPv6, forcing static ip and dns. [Bug 1002944] Re: Unity menu causes mouse yield on Multi Display
"You can go to display settings in control center and disable sticky edges. Please let me know if that fixes the issue for you." -This has had no noticable impact on the mouse sticking issue. "Also from your words it not super clear what you wanted to say but I guessed from the last line that its something to do with the mouse sticking when crossing screens ;-)" -Yes this is correct. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002944 Title: Unity menu causes mouse yield on Multi Display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1002944/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1002944] [NEW] Unity menu causes mouse yield on Multi Display
Public bug reported: New in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS the unity menu is now attached to every monitor. During normal activity when navigating between screens the mouse it pauses at every display, waiting for interaction with the menu. It doesn't matter if I have the auto-hide on/off, doesn't matter if I use left side or top left corner, and it doesn't matter what reveal sensitivity I set. I can not set which screen I want the menu on, and the only way to avoid it is to plan ahead and get a head start while moving the mouse as fast as possible. A better solution is needed to this menu bar when more than 1 display is in use. It slows down my productivity. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002944 Title: Unity menu causes mouse yield on Multi Display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1002944/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 743198] Re: "You have no chance to survive make your time" error
Just as an FYI I downloaded and installed Pianobar (PromyLOPh- pianobar-2011.12.11-1) and it is still successfully working through the command line every time. Even with the updated Pianobar, Pithos still throws the time synch error. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743198 Title: "You have no chance to survive make your time" error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pithos/+bug/743198/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 667383] [NEW] NVIDIA Card Errors on Visual Effects in Maverick 10.10
Public bug reported: I am running Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Video Card Hardware: NVidia GTX295 Output: Dual Monitor When Xinerama is configured and attempting to set visual effects to anything other than None the error: "The Composite extension is not available" is thrown. This is also causing issues running Virtual Box preventing me from doing work for the school or my office which require a Windows OS. Other issues are display problems where white boxes are appearing all over the place. And if attempting to use Avant Window Navigator the GUI goes into an infinite loop of crashes. Ubuntu 10.04 worked with no problems. I attempted to use the NVIDIA supplied driver as well and this has also caused the same results. I have already reformatted about a dozen times trying to find clean solutions. [Bug 339418] [NEW] Dual (Span) Display Fault After Display Sleep [ATI]
Public bug reported: Running Ubuntu 8.10 (also experienced in 8.04) with an ATI Radeaon X1600 Series I manage my display settings using Catalyst Control Center Version 2.1, Driver Version 8.54.3 (downloaded through add/remove). Using this application my display is set as Multi-Display Big Desktop left of display 1 a Desktop area of 3360 x 1050 and a refresh rate of preferred. My screen saver is set to random and to activate after 10 minutes. My display sleep is set to activate after 40 minutes. When away from the computer greater than 40 minutes and the display sleep is triggered upon my return the display is no longer a spanned dual display. I now experience a cloned display however display 2 has the mouse keeping center focused and the display moves instead of the mouse. In addition to display 2 having these issues, on display 1 everything from now appears in a 1680 x 1050 resolution. I generally have one panel on display 2 and 1 panel on display 1. My panel from display 2 remains normal and remains now on the bottom of display 1, which contains the combined image. My panel that was on display 1 now docks itself on top of my panel from display 2 but the graphics are entirely useless as it now has a corrupted image driver effect to it. To describe the purpose of the two panels: display 2 carries the panel with Applications, Places, System, and Applets, display 1 carries the panel with the workspace switcher, fast user switcher, and my launcher icons. I would love to help assist with resolving this bug please let me know if there is any further information to guide us to finding the cause. I'm also curious to know if anyone else has experienced this as my google search and search here have not found anything. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Dual (Span) Display Fault After Display Sleep [ATI] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/339418 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
