continue to work even when USB headphones are plugged in.

[Bug 474898] Re: [Dell Inspiron 600m] hibernate/resume failure

2010-04-22 Thread COD
Just tested this with 10.04 RC LiveCD. I got the exact same behavior. I
don't have the disk space to do a full install to test it, but I'm
guessing if the bug was fixed it would work off the LiveCD as well.
Also, because it was a LiveCD I can't get any debug data on reboot.
Sorry I couldn't provide more info. I'm disappointed, was hoping I could
migrate up from 9.04 with this release.

[Bug 275451] Re: nfs mounts specified in fstab is not mounted on boot.

2010-03-05 Thread COD
Upgrading to 9.10 did fix this for me. Unfortunately 9.10 completely
broke suspend/resume on my laptop so I had to go back to 9.04. Issuing a
sudo mount -a before opening Rythmbox has become so 2nd nature for me
now I don't even remember doing it most of the time.

[Bug 275451] Re: nfs mounts specified in fstab is not mounted on boot.

2009-06-06 Thread COD
I'm having the same problem in Jaunty - NFS not mounting on boot. It's a
wireless connection - the relevant part of /etc/network/interfaces is

auto wlan0
#iface wlan0 inet dhcp

Am I understanding correctly that if I uncomment that line the NFS mount
at boot may work properly?

[Bug 293059] Re: [i830] font drawing corruption regression ubuntu intrepid

2009-04-29 Thread COD
I was wrong. The XUA option does show the font corruption, it just takes
longer to manifest itself. It also tends to mash some lines of text
together in the browser, rendering the web page unreadable.

[Bug 293059] Re: [i830] font drawing corruption regression ubuntu intrepid

2009-04-27 Thread COD
I can confirm this on an older Toshiba Satellite Laptop. The XAA option
fixed the font but introduced the scrolling bug mentioned above. I did
notice that if you simply clicked around in the scroll bar you could
jump around just fine. Dragging the scrollbar or clicking the scroll
arrows did not work though.

The XUA option appears to have the laptop functioning normally.

Re: [Bug 109454] Re: Can't view or work with full size images from network drive

2007-04-24 Thread COD
smb://mediaserver

However, your question triggered a memory that I had that drive set up
as a shared drive via the Ubuntu admin menu. I deleted the share and now
it seems to be working properly.

Not sure if that that's a different bug or user error :)
