[Bug 1673138] [NEW] Replace "import simplejson" with "import json as simplejson" in ircactivity.py
Public bug reported: Hello, This was already fixed upstream, but we can flag this package for an import error on line 24 of ircactivity.py simply saying import simplejson while the simplejson library is not installed. After Python 2.6, the simplejson library was merged with the json library, and therefore import json as simplejson would be the correct line. Otherwise, the IRC activity will not start. ... And by that I mean that version of Evolution you mentioned was probably part of GNOME 3.10 that didn't make it to the repos in time. On jbicha's request, I tested a Live USB of both 13.04 and the 13.10 daily build. The 13.04 image I used to reproduce the bug (successfully), and the 13.10 image I looked at to check for a fix. The 13.10 image I used (for 20130614) to install Ubuntu GNOME alongside my current installs showed that the "Continue" button changed to "Install Now," and the install process began immediately. I did not, however, see the resize screen (the buggy one in the 13.04 Live image) appear. Are you opening the .deb package directly or opening qapt-deb-installer first? It doesn't seem to work using the latter method (although it should) on 12.10. I successfully installed Google Chrome by opening the .deb package directly.
