[Bug 371212] Re: Slow sata disk with ahci driver after resume on Ubuntu Jaunty

2010-01-10 Thread Camille Dominique
I confirm this bug on a Latitude D630, both under Jaunty i386 (currently
kernel 2.6.28-17-generic) and Karmic amd64 (kernel 2.6.31-17-generic).
Is this bug going to be fixed any time soon? Does it need more
information?

[Bug 65631] Re: skge driver broken: invalid call to spin_unlock causes system crash

2007-11-09 Thread Camille Dominique
I have been using Gutsy for about two weeks now on one of the machines
that were affected by this bug under Dapper (This is a fresh, parallel
installation, no dist-upgrade). I haven't experienced any problems so
far, so it seems that this bug does not exist in Gutsy. My kernel
version is 2.6.22-14-generic.

[Bug 161758] xinitrc: falling back to xscreensaver does not work

2007-11-09 Thread Camille Dominique
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xfce4-utils

If one has xscreensaver instead of gnome-screensaver installed,
xscreensaver fails to start upon session startup.

The bug is in /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc, line 58. The special parameter $?
always expands to 0, because gnome-screensaver is run (or not)
asynchronously (the shell does not wait for the command to finish, and
the return status is 0).

** Affects: xfce4-utils (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 161758] Re: xinitrc: falling back to xscreensaver does not work

I suggest to check for the existence of the screensaver binaries
instead.

Here is a patch that works for me.

[Bug 65631] Re: skge driver broken: invalid call to spin_unlock causes system crash

2007-06-20 Thread Camille Dominique
I can confirm that this bug exists in Dapper since version 2.6.15-26.47.
The changelog states that skge was then updated to version in 2.6.17, to
obtain fixes and D-Link DGE-530T support.

I was able to reproduce the bug on two identical computers (ASUS A8V
Deluxe Mainboard, with a Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
onboard), attached to a Gigabit-Network.

I can also confirm that Alexander's Patch above fixes the issue with no
ill effects so far.
