Visto che nessuno aveva preso in carico il mio bug, ho aperto, sul sito forum di Ubuntu, un post dal titolo: Problemi nell'aggiornamento a Ubuntu 20.04 con autore CarloSarti. Se qualcuno vuole divertirsi può darci uno sguardo: vedrà diverse caz... di Ubuntu. La più grossa è la risposta all'istruzione "dir -alR /". A un certo punto c'è: -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 140737477881856 nov 2 14:24 /proc/kcore Non sapevo di avere comprato un PC con una così grande memoria. Già ero contento di avere comprato a dicembre 2016 un PC con processore i7 a 550 Euro. Poi ho capito che Gesù mi aveva fatto la moltiplicazione dei Giga, invece che dei pani e dei pesci. Rimane da capire come aveva potuto by-passare la mia impostazione di riservare a Ubuntu soltanto 100 Giga. Io sto ponendo [Risolto] al mio post sul forum: reimposterò il PC alle condizioni di fabbrica. In effetti il risultato è un pò differente: non parla più di ppa ma quanto segue: Impossibile calcolare l'avanzamento Si è verificato un problema irresolubile durante il calcolo dell'avanzamento. Nel caso fosse un altro problema, segnalare un bug eseguendo in un terminale il seguente comando: «ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader- core». Per investigare il problema consultare i file di registro in «/var/log/dist-upgrade» che possono contenere maggiori dettagli riguardo all'avanzamento. In particolare, consultare i file «main.log» e «apt.log». Voglio aggiungere che in '/proc', cliccando su proprietà, c'è: 'qualcosa di illeggibile' e dimensione di 140,7 TB!! Il correttore automatico ha scritto restare per Ubuntu, io avevo scritto restart per Ubuntu. Ugualmente x Lerner.log.1, il file era kernel.log.1. Ho cancellato da /root (proprietà illeggibile) la directory desktop (vuota), con Ok per essa: resta ./carlo. Ho cancellato da /media, ./apt, che era illeggibile. Oggi ho visto /var a 15.5 GB: il sistema ha tolto *focal* (ho fatto dei restare per Ubuntu). Successivamente ho cancellato il contenuto di /var/tempo (x qualcosa di illeggibile), poi il file Lerner.log.1 (dimensione di 10.9 GB). Ho dimenticato di specificare che i 39 GB sono per la directory "/" (la "home" e la swap hanno partizioni separate di 37 e 15 GB). Guardando le proprietà dei componenti di "/", ci sono cose inenarrabili. etc -> qualcosa di illeggibile15,0 MB proc -> qualcosa di illeggibile 140,7 TB root -> illeggibile run -> qualcosa di illeggibile142,7 KB tmp -> qualcosa di illeggibile39,9 KB var -> qualcosa di illeggibile26,1 GB Io non so cosa posso cancellare in "/var" (dimensione di 26,1 GB). Ho paura di fare danni irreparabili per la seguente ragione: ho installato Ubuntu 16.04 come Dual Boot (l'altro sistema è Windows 10: scelta secondaria); ho aggiornato il sistema ad Ubuntu 18.04, non trovando particolari problemi. Tutto questo per la difficoltà ad installare Ubuntu ex novo. Per la stessa ragione non so cosa posso cancellare in "/proc", p.e. le directory e i file per la data ieri e simili? Ho trovato che stamane avevo solo 1 MB di 39 GB. Ho fatto un pò di pulizia in /var/lib/apt/lists ed ora sono ad 1 GB.
