I deleted all the .mozilla folder in my home, it works OK,
then I just close it without installing anything,
then when I want to start it again, firefox simply doesn't run.
I tried to launch firefox by terminal and there is no error messages...

[Bug 546457] [NEW] My printer does not use both cartrigdes now

2010-03-24 Thread Carlos Joel Delgado Pizarro
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hplip

In further versions of Ubuntu and the corresponding HPLIP package, there was
options that allow user to choose the print out mode, I mean a user could
choose to use Color cartridge only or Black cartridge only or both cartridges,
also there was option to choose the output printing quality, from 300dpi to
photo quality.
Now I can't find that options, there is only few options like Normal color,
Normal Grayscale, Draft color, Draft Grayscale and High-resolution photo, but
the fact is that any option I chose, the printer use *only one* of the
cartridges, and the printing has a poor quality, I don't know if you could
compile a further version of HPLIP that implements the other options, because
there were really usefull.
I use:
 * Ubuntu 10.04 beta1
 * Gnome 2.29.92
 * HPLIP 3.10.2-1ubuntu3

With my last Ubuntu (9.10) I had all that options, I want them back...

[Bug 449664] [NEW] Firefox use a lot of processor doing nothing

2009-10-12 Thread Carlos Joel Delgado Pizarro
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

The first time I open Firefox it consumes a lot of my processor up to
50% ~ 60% but I did not start to navigate either, It just opened the
default pages it has (the Mozilla ones). When I have Google, Ubuntu and
Launchpad open in firefox the processor consumption goes up to 70% ~ 90%
and the system turns slow.

I run the command apport-cli firefoxand this is the output

[Bug 449630] [NEW] Apport can not find my internet connection and does not send bug reports

2009-10-12 Thread Carlos Joel Delgado Pizarro
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: apport

In Karmic I wanted to report a bug using apport but when the report is
ready it can not be sent because apport can not find my Internet
connection, it says "Is not possible to connect to the error data base,
please check your Internet connection" as is shown in the screenshot I
am attaching here, where it is seen that I actually have a working
Internet connection, so I did what is said in
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Filing%20bugs%20when
%20off-line using the command apport-cli -f -p , so this
is the output of the command:

betates...@cinty-i:~$ apport-cli -f -p apport

[Bug 447465] [NEW] Totem does not close when clicking the close button after playing a video

2009-10-09 Thread Carlos Joel Delgado Pizarro
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

Totem does not close when I click the close button on the title bar
after I started to play the video /usr/share/example-
content/Ubuntu_Free_Culture_Showcase/SpiritOfUbuntu.ogv when I
continually click on the close button Apport is launched and I click the
button "Informar un problema" (Report a bug, maybe in English) but
Apport does not work either, it show "Recopilando Información"
(Gathering Information) and it passed about 20 minutes and it seems to
be stuck. So I could not use Apport to report this problem.

The way to reproduce this is:
1.- Start Ubuntu and do not do anything else
2.- Go to the "Examples" folder in your home folder
3.- Go to "Ubuntu_Free_Culture_Showcase" folder there
4.- Open (double click) on the SpiritOfUbuntu.ogv video
5.- When it is playing click on the Close button on the title bar.
--> Totem doesn't close, and when Apport is launched, it does not work either.

On:
Linux 2.6.31-11-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 25 06:37:23 UTC 2009 x86_64
GNU/Linux
Gnome 2.28.0 compiled on Sep/21/2009
Totem 2.28.0 with GStreamer 0.10.24

** Affects: totem (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
