Jamin asked for progress in 2011-08-06 after 9 months of inactivity. It is now 2012-02-12 and I have just upgraded my Ubuntu to 12.10. Same here. I've just upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 (indicator-applet 0.1 installed). I've got one iMAP mail account and Human theme. [Bug 302452] Re: intrepid shutdown/restart hang on acpid: exiting
I have exactly the same problem. Shutdown usually stop with a black screen and acpid: exiting..., sometimes just a black screen and a few times (2 times in the last months) the system shutdown properly. I am not an expert but I can provide as much information as needed.
