[Bug 1969414] [NEW] Fierfox opens with missing title bar and unable to mouse click in the app
Public bug reported: Installed the alpha a month ago and didn't experience many issues until a few days ago. Upon opening firefox, it resumed my previous session, not as full screen per usual, but I couldn't click tabs or any buttons in the app. When I try to click a new tab, it thinks I'm interacting with the website various pixels away (about an inch of screen space.) Kept hoping that daily updates would fix it but I had to start using opera. When I tried to drag firefox to full screen, it just pulled a tab into a new window but I'm unable to switch windows in the dock, I have to use keyboard shortcuts. [Bug 607411] Re: 10.04 Atheros AR8131 network install no network device found

[Bug 607411] [NEW] 10.04 Atheros AR8131 network install no network device found
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pxe Although the Atheros AR8131 chip that is present on the Asus M4A78LT-M motherboard is supported out of the box using the 10.04 live CD it is unable to do a PXE network install. The network install will halt with an error saying no network device found and if I manually try to detect network hardware it just gives the option to choose a driver. [Bug 546929] Re: most PATA/SATA modules missing in Lucid netboot
Thanks Mathieu for your efforts on testing this bug. How coincidental that as soon as you tested with that board they released a new netboot file last night. I was running the newest one released on the 9th and I know the problem persisted but first thing this morning I noticed a new file and immediately tested it and this bug is officially fixed. I can now install on my Averatec 3200 laptop, Asus M4A77D, Asus M4A78L-M, and Asus M3A78-CM. -- most PATA/SATA modules missing in Lucid netboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546929 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 546929] Re: most PATA/SATA modules missing in Lucid netboot
Yes, I updated to the files released March 30, April 5, and now I just did April 9 today and it still happens. What is the easiest way to find out the module I need to manually load? I know it's the amd780 chipset listed above in post #16 but I don't know where to get the appropriate module to load on a working system. I know I have properly updated kernel + initrd files since I was able to do my PXE install on my sata_nv machine ever since the March 30 release. [Bug 546929] Re: most PATA/SATA modules missing in Lucid netboot
As this bug was marked for the milestone of beta 2 I decided to await yesterday's release before testing again. Today I tried once again to do a PXE install on the previous chipset I mentioned in post #16 but it still doesn't automatically detect and it asks for a driver to be manually selected. I downloaded the new netboot file that was uploaded but still have the problem installing over PXE. How can modules be loaded from USB to get passed this in the mean time? [Bug 47164] Re: oem-config-prepare messes up password.
I tried this with the Full name as 'OEM configuration (temporary user)' in kickstart just as Ante said on a Gutsy install and after running oem- config-prepare and rebooting it accepts everything except for the new user password. The new user name must be typed at login but the password is still 'oem' so then the user must go to Users and Groups and manually change it.
