[Bug 951929] Re: Unity launcher and Alt-Tab switcher missing entry for gnome-terminal
I've noticed that if an app is locked to the launcher the issue does not occur. I had this problem with gnome-terminal and I had 'lost' several terminal windows. [Bug 1069793] Re: Tramples over window.external (breaks ability to install opensearch plugins)
This was reported quite some time ago but still effects the latest stable version of Ubuntu (12.10) with all the latest updates applied as of today.
