[Bug 862430] Re: window flicker for a short time after switching workspaces
Sorry, meant to thank Martin Levasseur. Not that we are not thankfull to mia1dolfan too. :) But it was Martin's post that I followed, which solved my problems. Thank you very much, everyone. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/862430 Title: window flicker for a short time after switching workspaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/862430/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 862430] Re: window flicker for a short time after switching workspaces
At Last!!! My desktop is once again as smooth as silk. Thank you very much mia1dolfan, for making sense of everything. I did have 1 issue... After I restarted Compiz, my window controls were gone. The top tool bar was there, (The one above the file/edit/view bar) but there was not any buttons for close, minimize, maximize. I freaked out for a minute, but then cooler heads prevailed, and I restarted the computer. Worked like a charm. For the record, I am running... Ubuntu 12.04 32bit Cairo-Dock With Open GL (Just say no to Unity) Asus All-In-One ET2410IUTS (Multi-touch) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/862430 Title: window flicker for a short time after switching workspaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/862430/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 993265] Re: Wine breaks window decorations for all applications (gtk-window-decorator crashes)
Just to share... I too am having the exact same issue, especially with photoshop CS2. I hope there will be a fix soon, but as far as workarounds are concerned, I think I have probably found the best one. I am using Cairo-Dock. I added the applet "Composite Manager" Whenever I quit photoshop, I click the applet, they click yes. (This turns off all compiz effects) Then, I click the applet, they click yes again. (This turns all of the effects back on) Seems to work everytime. Not too terrible, but I hope it gets fixed soon. I like to showcase my system to all my friends (who use mac and windows) And when something doesn't work right, its a little embarassing. :( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993265 Title: Wine breaks window decorations for all applications (gtk-window- decorator crashes) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/993265/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
