A reproducable hang for me (with adblock plus installed) is to visit

This happens even if adblock is turned off (via it's menu - the add-on still

Disabling the add-on stops firefox hanging.

[Bug 300416] Re: adblock plus hangs firefox visiting some pages containing java applets

2009-12-07 Thread Chris Beaven
(sorry for the comment spam, just being thorough)

I previously had adblock plus version installed via addons.mozilla.
I uninstalled this, and installed adblock-plus via aptitude.
Still hanging under the same circumstances.

Note that not *all* java pages cause the hang, I just searched for java
calculator and visited the top hit (http://yamaza.com/java/calc.html)
without a hang while adblock plus is enabled.

[Bug 414389] Re: Firefox 3.5.2 freezes when accessing the Java plug-in

2009-12-06 Thread Chris Beaven
My personally reproducable case: visiting pingtest.net hangs firefox up
every time.

Turning off java fixes it (although the site isn't then usable)

I tried visiting a simple java app: http://yamaza.com/java/calc.html and
that temporarily hangs - a few more seconds after the compiz fade to
grey, it recovers.

I left the hanging browser running for a couple of minutes on
pingtest.net, with no recovery.

[Bug 481051] Re: Python syntax formatting doesn't pick up the start of a longstring ( or ''') if directly followed by a new line

I found that my fix doesn't actually fix the problem correctly (if there
are multiple docstrings, everything in between gets highlighted).

nano syntax highlighting works.

[Bug 436222] Re: No microphone on Dell Studio XPS 1340

2009-10-30 Thread Chris Beaven
