Public bug reported:

When installing Lucid, I picked the option of an encrypted home
directory. Now, from a Ruby prompt, I get:

ch...@delacroix:~$ irb
ree-1.8.7-2010.02  File.read(.)
Errno::EINVAL: Invalid argument - .
from (irb):1:in `read'
from (irb):1
ree-1.8.7-2010.02  File.read(/tmp)
Errno::EISDIR: Is a directory - /tmp

lsb_release -rd is:
