[Bug 1794213] Re: Crash on Upgrade to 18.10 from 18.04 Network Not Available
I can confirm, experiencing the same. So from what I understand is that apt executes if /usr/bin/test -w /var/cache/app-info -a -e /usr/bin/appstreamcli; then appstreamcli refresh-cache > /dev/null; fi which fails. It checks whether the two files /var/cache/app-info and /usr/bin/appstreamcli both exist and if so it attempts to run appstreamcli. appstreamcli handles AppStream metadata and the AppStream index. /var/cache/app-info does not exist on my system. Not sure if it is supposed to be there all the time or just during the uggrade process. Leaving my VM in the current condition so I can gather more information if needed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1794213 Title: Crash on Upgrade to 18.10 from 18.04 Network Not Available To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appstream/+bug/1794213/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1794104] [NEW] Xorg crash on first boot after apt upgrade
Public bug reported: I installed a daily snapshot of 18.10 in a VM. After removing some unneccessary application, I ran apt update apt upgrade and rebooted. I noticed X crashing after the reboot, taking me back to the login manager. I have the option selected to automatically login without password. X did not crash when coming up the second time, tough. [Bug 1386465] [NEW] apparmor profile prevents libvirtd from creating a socket
Public bug reported: I'd like to emphasize that I upgraded from Ubuntu Gnome 14.4 to 14.10 I installed systemd. libvirtd fails to start on the stock upgrade system. Examining the log files it looks like apparmor prevents libvirtd from creating a net socket.
