[Bug 571402] Re: integrated SD card reader not working on Acer Aspire One 532

2010-07-14 Thread Christian Kuehnel
I added this card-reader to the usb.id database already:
https://usb-ids.gowdy.us/read/UD/0cf2/6250

As I understand it, this is only for cosmetical reasons. The usb.ids is
used by lsusb to find the names for the usb devices...

[Bug 575973] Re: Fn-Keys for Wifi & 3G not working on Acer Aspire One 532

2010-05-05 Thread Christian Kuehnel
the wifi-driver-part seems to work:
echo 0 > /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state
turns wifi off (and 1 turns it back on)

I could not find the same feature for the 3g modem (Huawei EM770W)...

[Bug 575973] [NEW] Fn-Keys for Wifi & 3G not working on Acer Aspire One 532

2010-05-05 Thread Christian Kuehnel
Public bug reported:

I'm using an Acer Aspire One 532h with integrated 3G modem. The with the
Fn+F2 key I should be able to toggle the status of wifi and 3G (at least
with Windows 7). As the Fn+F2 key does not produce any events in Ubuntu,
I'm unable to use my 3G modem. I also can't turn wifi off, eg. when
going on an airplane.

wifi on, 3g off <-- default mode at start-up.
wifi off, 3g on
wifi on, 3g on
wifi off, 3g off

I already tries this with the latest upstream kernel, same for standard lucid
kernel.
I also tried the usual suspects and did not find any events for this key:
dmesg, xev,showkey

Other keys such as brightness, suspend, etc. work fine.

[Bug 571402] [NEW] integrated SD card reader not working on Acer Aspire One 532

Public bug reported:

insert an sd card, the card-reader is shown in lsusb, but the card is
not mounted. (Needless to say, that it works fine with the preinstalled
Windows 7).

[Bug 433497] Re: checkgmail login failure as of Sep. 20th, 2009

2009-09-27 Thread Christian Kuehnel
>From the project-website http://checkgmail.sourceforge.net/

401 Unauthorised Fix

Gmail recently changed the login procedure, resulting in this error. To
fix this issue, please use the latest version from SVN -- the easiest
way to do this is to run checkgmail -update from the commandline and
follow the prompts.

** Changed in: checkgmail (Ubuntu)
