Re: [Bug 1065504] Re: No partition listed in ubiquity (HP Envy 4 1062sf)

2012-10-11 Thread Christophe Narbonne
in fact the problem seems to be known for intel smart response
technology.

dmraid try to mount it as raid and "shit on himself". once uninstaller
evrything works. the solution would be to replace dmraid by mdadm.

** Description changed:

  I tryed today's release [11/10/2012] and 12.10 beta 2 both in AMD64

free space.
Gparted allow me to manage all partitions and make my logical volume with
swap, and 2 ext4 partitions but nothing in ubitquity.
It crashed on "change" and on "+" buttons but bug reporter didn't oppened
firefox.

For more info tell me how to give it...

+ Note, I don't know if it's linked but there is some intel smart response

** Description changed:

I have some problem with my keyboard.
At the install phase of 11.04 alpha2 I got a popup window to allow me to skip
keyborad layout config.
Now I have no keymap on gdm, only the mouse works.
ctrl+alt+F1 is not handled except if I use alt+screenshot+r before.
the visual keyboard on gdm shows "?" instead of usual keys.

`loadkeys fr` retruns an error about $sun*** keyboard layout not available (I
don't remember the exact message)
(my admin user password was containing caracters which are not on the qwerty
layout so I had to boot in recovery mode)

  export DISPLAY=:0.0
  setxkbmap fr
  don't works either.

I arrived to get it partially works in startx by opening gnome-keyboard-
properties and specified that I use a french keyboard instead of a USA's
one and since, root launched X servers don't have this problem
anymore... How to fix this on gdm and on my admin user?
+
+ note: I tryed add keymaps in th gdm list and use them but it did'nt
