[Bug 1948504] [NEW] [Lenovo P52s] Unable to WiFi connect to Inseego Wavemaker 5G FX2000
Public bug reported: 1) lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 21.10 Release:21.10 2) uname -a Linux worldpeacepc 5.13.0-21-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 19 08:59:28 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux 3) What is expected to happen is when I click the top right hand side of the GUI, choose the SSID associated with the Inseego Wavemaker 5G FX2000, put in the known good password, it connects. 4) What happens instead is it fails to connect. Same problem in Ubuntu 21.04. However, I'm able to connect to other SSIDs from other non-Inseego devices. An iPhone 12 Mini and Windows 10 devices have no problems connecting. What I tried but it didn't change anything: 1) Disable ipv6 in Ubuntu. 2) In the Inseego GUI, change from: 5GHz 802.11acn/ax to: 5GHz 802.11ac WORKAROUND: In the Inseego GUI changing the WiFi security from: WPA3/WPA2 Transition to: WPA2 Personal PSK (AES) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 21.10 Package: linux-image-5.13.0-21-generic 5.13.0-21.21 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.13.0-21.21-generic 5.13.18 Uname: Linux 5.13.0-21-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu70 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: moniker1825 F pulseaudio CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Fri Oct 22 16:07:37 2021 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-08-25 (58 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04.2.0 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20210209.1) MachineType: LENOVO 20LB001FUS ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcFB: 0 i915drmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-5.13.0-21-generic root=/dev/mapper/vgubuntu-root ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-5.13.0-21-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-5.13.0-21-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.201 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 08/13/2021 dmi.bios.release: 1.29 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: N27ET43W (1.29 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20LB001FUS dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: SDK0J40697 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: None dmi.ec.firmware.release: 1.15 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrN27ET43W(1.29):bd08/13/2021:br1.29:efr1.15:svnLENOVO:pn20LB001FUS:pvrThinkPadP52s:rvnLENOVO:rn20LB001FUS:rvrSDK0J40697WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNone:skuLENOVO_MT_20LB_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPadP52s: dmi.product.family: ThinkPad P52s dmi.product.name: 20LB001FUS dmi.product.sku: LENOVO_MT_20LB_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPad P52s dmi.product.version: ThinkPad P52s dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug impish package-from-proposed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1948504 Title: [Lenovo P52s] Unable to WiFi connect to Inseego Wavemaker 5G FX2000 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1948504/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1944746] [NEW] LibreOffice from Ubuntu Store/snaps broken GNOME integration for remote smb shares
Public bug reported: 1) lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 21.04 Release:21.04 2) Name Version RevTracking Publisher Notes snap list | grep libreoffice libreoffice 7.2.1.2 235latest/edge canonical* - apt-cache policy gnome-shell gnome-shell: Installed: 3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1 Candidate: 3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1 Version table: *** 3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hirsute-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.38.4-1ubuntu2 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hirsute/main amd64 Packages 3) What I expected to happen is using any version of LibreOffice snaps from Ubuntu Software app (i.e. https://snapcraft.io/libreoffice ) works as it does as if I used the default install of libreoffice. Specifically, when I open the GNOME Files program via the icon on the bar on the left, I have an smb share already added via "Other Locations". When I use the default libreoffice install version as per below, when I attempt to open a file in Libreoffice Calc, the share is visible and I'm able to open files, edit, save, close, etc.: apt-cache policy libreoffice libreoffice: Installed: (none) Candidate: 1:7.1.6-0ubuntu0.21.04.1 Version table: 1:7.1.6-0ubuntu0.21.04.1 500 (phased 70%) 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hirsute-updates/universe amd64 Packages 1:7.1.2~rc2-0ubuntu2 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hirsute/universe amd64 Packages 4) However, when I completely remove all things libreoffice-* via command line, then install the snap version, the smb share is not visible. It's confirmed all packages associated with default install are removed, and only the snap is installed. I've tried completely removing each snap and trying a different version (e.g. stable, candidate, edge) but it's the same problem. I'm guessing it's something borked with the libreoffice-gnome integration between the snap and the GNOME environment but that's a wild guess. I tried the snap package as the default install Draw kept crashing opening a particular file, and was hoping to work around it by installing later snap version. WORKAROUND: Use default install of LibreOffice. [Bug 1942679] [NEW] KeePassX unable to trigger on browser URL
Public bug reported: This is a WISHLIST feature request for package keepassx. Unfortunately, for those who switch from Windows to Linux, and in turn, keepass to keepassx, one is unable to easily utilize the add-on WebAutoType to match against website URLs in browsers. My battery packed up quite a while ago and shows 0% charge.. it has begun every so often "dropping off" and back on a few seconds later, both in gkrellm, and whatever app shows the battery icon in top right - (near network manager, volume, etc.) I think it sends this 0x8d each - time the battery status changes. [Bug 1900854] Re: radeon: GPU lockup when restarting a video on RV730
Philippe Coval, in order to allow additional upstream mainline kernel developers to examine the issue, at your earliest convenience, could you please test the latest mainline kernel? Please keep in mind the following: 1) The one to test is in a folder at the very top of the page (not the daily folder). 2) The release names are irrelevant. 3) The folder time stamps aren't indicative of when the kernel actually was released upstream. 4) Install instructions are available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds . If testing on your main install would be inconvenient, one may: 1) Install Ubuntu to a different partition and then test this there. 2) Backup, or clone the primary install. If the latest kernel did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. Once you've tested the mainline kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this issue is not reproducible in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon, next to the word Tags, located at the bottom of the Bug Description: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Where X, and Y are the first two numbers of the kernel version, and Z is the release candidate number if it exists. If the issue is reproducible with the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Please note, an error to install the kernel does not fit the criteria of kernel-bug-exists-upstream. Also, you don't need to apport-collect further unless specifically requested to do so. In addition, to keep this issue relevant to upstream, please continue to test the latest mainline kernel as it becomes available. Lastly, it is most helpful that after testing of the latest mainline kernel is complete, you mark this report Status Confirmed. Thank you for your help. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1900854 Title: radeon: GPU lockup when restarting a video on RV730 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1900854/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
