[Bug 1906949] Re: ext4_find_entry:1531
no. it happened: when i was installing a steam game, when i was transfering files between external hdd and onboard nvme, when i was checking my code in vscode, when i was opening a new tab in firefox.. in the first 2 days after building my pc it happened anywhere from 30 min into using the cpu to a few hours in. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1906949 Title: ext4_find_entry:1531 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1906949/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1906949] Re: ext4_find_entry:1531
Yes. I changed my NVMe slot. But the change 'nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500' has proven stable on both slots. attached dmesg. below the output of the lspci -tv command. -[:00]-+-00.0 Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [Bug 1906949] Re: ext4_find_entry:1531
nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500 has given me a full 12hrs of no freezing, where i have done the same things that caused previous freezes. hope this proves useful.
[Bug 1906949] [NEW] ext4_find_entry:1531
Public bug reported: Installed Ubunutu 20.04 on a fresh machine, ASRock b450 Pro4 with a Kingston A2000 1TB PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 2280 in the M.2 Ultra slot. Randomly, got freezes with only cursor moving on screen and after a few minutes i'd get a black screen with errors, EXT4-fs error (device nvme0n1p2): _ext4_find_entry: 1531 and Failed to write entry, ignoring: Read-only file system. (attached photo) I am a fresh Ubuntu user, not really tech savy, help would be greatly appreciated.
