[Bug 1826793] [NEW] Firefox Apparmor profile prevents connection with KeePassXC
Public bug reported: The KeePassXC password manager (https://keepassxc.org/) allows passwords to be filled in automatically via the KeePassXC-Browser Firefox add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/keepassxc-browser/). In order for this to work, the add-on must communicate with the password manager. However, communication is being blocked by Firefox's Apparmor profile. If KeePassXC is installed via Apt: Apr 28 20:25:43 snake kernel: [79057.095759] audit: type=1400 audit(1556497543.512:878): apparmor="DENIED" operation="exec" profile="/usr/lib/firefox/firefox{,*[^s][^h]}" name="/usr/bin/keepassxc- proxy" pid=23647 comm=444F4D20576F726B6572 requested_mask="x" denied_mask="x" fsuid=1000 ouid=0 If KeePassXC is installed via Snap: Apr 28 20:22:24 snake kernel: [78858.165807] audit: type=1400 audit(1556497344.579:799): apparmor="DENIED" operation="exec" profile="/usr/lib/firefox/firefox{,*[^s][^h]}" name="/usr/bin/snap" pid=21695 comm=444F4D20576F726B6572 requested_mask="x" denied_mask="x" fsuid=1000 ouid=0 Please alter the Apparmor profile to allow for communication with this password manager with either installation method. [Bug 701856] Re: Brother's printer/scanner drivers awkward to find and install
I gave up on Brother after having to fiddle with the config on every OS upgrade, and I recommend that everyone else do the same. I tried opening a support ticket the last time, and they said Linux support is only available in the forums, which tells me they don't actively support it any more (if they ever did). So as suggested in comment #26, I ran out and bought an HP, and never looked back. I got everything working fairly quickly, and it hasn't broken since. [Bug 1714804] Re: Aardvark Daily: Indicator-Multiload doesn't show full-width
Because that application was written for the platform that Ubuntu is now using (Gnome), and the other one wasn't. Open-source developers' time is in short supply. It doesn't make sense to spend time porting non-native applications when native applications already exist that can do the job. It's tricky for users (us) to switch applications whenever the platform changes, but that's the price you pay for not building a GNU/Linux system yourself. [Bug 1522422] Re: Update to php 7.0
There are plans to get Drupal 7 working with PHP 7, but there are still some issues remaining. With everything that's going on with Drupal 8, I don't think folks have had a chance to jump into this too deeply just yet. For more information, see https://www.drupal.org/node/2454439. I wouldn't focus too much on the Debian packages. In my experience, they're not used very widely (as stated above) as there are usually custom changes. So getting Drupal 7 running on PHP 7 (without the Debian packages) would be the goal here. The packages aren't even mentioned in the official installation guide, https://www.drupal.org/documentation/install/download, or on the OS- specific page: https://www.drupal.org/node/557908. Having said that, though, I'd be curious to know if the package maintainers had any insight they could share. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1522422 Title: Update to php 7.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1522422/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1551949] [NEW] Printing to PDF file loses URLs/links
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. File -> Print... 2. Select "Print to File". 3. Enter the file name. 4. Enter the save-to folder. 5. Leave the output format as-is, or select PDF if it's not the default. 6. Hit the Print button. 7. Open the resulting PDF in any PDF viewer. @Jason: I ran fwts. It worked the first 7 times, and then crashed on the 8th. So that's 12.5%. That seems about right given my experience. I can never run the full 50 tests though, as whenever it crashes, everything locks up.
