[Bug 1325719] [NEW] Login screen wallaper doesn't fill screen
Public bug reported: I have two monitors. My primary monitor has a native resolution of 1920x1200, my secondary monitor has a native resolution of 1680x1050. I'm using the fglrx-updates proprietary driver, and I configured my dual monitor setup using the Catalyst Control Center. When the login screen is displayed by Xubuntu 14.04, everything looks correct except that the wallpaper is displayed on my primary monitor at what looks like the same size as on my secondary monitor. It's stuck in the top left corner, so there are black borders on the right and bottom of the screen. I would expect it to fill the screen, following the zoom behaviour that I have configured in the Desktop settings, which causes the wallpaper to show on both displays at different sizes, totally filling each display. ** Affects: xfdesktop4 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: xubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1325719 Title: Login screen wallaper doesn't fill screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfdesktop4/+bug/1325719/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1002808] Re: Android 4 Device is not Automatically Mounted in MTP mode on Xubuntu 12.04 amd64
No, this problem was always present, but android users could work around it by setting their Android device to mass storage mode. That feature has now been removed as of android 4, so this issue now needs to be addressed. On Windows 7 I can connect my Android device via USB and it is automatically mounted like any other drive. This problem will affect all android devices running android 4, and above if the mass storage feature stays gone (which is likely as google has reasons for removing it). ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002808 Title: Android 4 Device is not Automatically Mounted in MTP mode on Xubuntu 12.04 amd64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1002808/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1002808] [NEW] Android 4 Device is not Automatically Mounted in MTP mode on Xubuntu 12.04 amd64
Public bug reported: I have a Sony Xperia Arc S. It was recently upgraded to Android 4.0.3, which has removed support for USB Mass Storage mode. Now, when I connect the USB cable between my phone and my computer, the phone claims to be connected, but the MTP storage is never mounted in Xubuntu, and the device is not visible in Gigolo, as I would expect as a user. I have manually installed mtp-tools and mtpfs, but it made no difference. [Bug 880356] [NEW] Evince failed to let me print both sides
Public bug reported: When printing a PDF with Evince, on the Page Setup tab, I selected Two Sided: Long Edge (Standard). I then clicked Print and the printer simply printed the document on two pages. This is a fresh install of Xubuntu 11.10, prior to this I used Ubuntu 11.04 and this setting worked correctly then. [Bug 841696] [NEW] LibreOffice Writer should depend on libreoffice-gtk on Xubuntu
Public bug reported: I'm using Xubuntu Oneiric amd64 Beta1. I installed LibreOffice Writer via the Ubuntu Software Centre, but when I launched it, the DPI was wrong and it looked ugly. [Bug 841696] Re: LibreOffice should depend on libreoffice-gtk
Cheers, I don't know much about debian packages and that link helped. A list of Add-ons is displayed on the LibreOffice Writer page in the Ubuntu Software Centre, but libreoffice-gtk isn't actually visible in that list. I believe it should be automatically installed somehow, because even if it was in that list, it isn't a good user experience when you put the Ubuntu Software Centre into the context of an App Store, and I would consider integration into the user's desktop environment as a basic feature, not an optional extra. All software should respect the user's DPI and colour settings for example as it could adversely affect the software's accessibility for people with sight problems. Can the Ubuntu Software Centre itself decide which desktop integration package to install depending on the desktop environments that the user has installed? Or could libreoffice-gnome, libreoffice-kde and libreoffice-gtk all be rolled into one package (depended on by the base LibreOffice package) that does not itself depend on all three desktops being installed (to prevent KDE being installed in my case), and then find out which one to use at runtime? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/841696 Title: LibreOffice should depend on libreoffice-gtk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/841696/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
