I agree that the library mechanism in fbreader is very clunky. It seems like there are two bugs here. The first is that fbreader doesn't seem to save the library until after other settings are created, which I cannot replicate. The second is that the entire library function needs to be re-thoughtout. It will happily tell you that the files are correct until you move them to another folder and actually force transmission to recheck. Even "verify local data" doesn't work.
