I just bought this remote control, but i dont know how to patch the kernel.. do i have to download the entire kernel source code, patch and then compile the whole kernel? Im using the latest kubuntu, and the default kernel in the repository. I have some experience with linux but i dont like and i dont really know how to patch and/or compile things, let alone the kernel! can you help me getting this remote working? thanks and sorry for the bad english -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/607062 Title: Remote Control not working (Aureal / Cy se W-01RN) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/607062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 792983] Re: Randomly halts to console and BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 0000000200000010
I talked to who sold me the mainboard and CPU and he told me to update the BIOS. Since i've done this, the PC has been on for 5 days without any problem, so I'm pretty sure the problem was because of an old bugged bios, and it's all solved now. Sorry for the trouble. [Bug 792983] Re: Randomly halts to console and BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 0000000200000010
I'm thinking it could be a CPU problem. The PC is really new, only 2 weeks, and now I notice it does some beeps at boot, in the beep codes index it says 4 beeps is "bad processor"... The reason I started suspecting on the CPU is because yesterday i booted Windows and used it until today when it also crashed, so I suppose it's not a software issue but a hardware. The CPU is still on warranty of course so I'll try to change it. Whenever I have any more info I'll post again. This bug is from 2006!! Is there SOMEBODY reading this who can do something about it? [Bug 57789] Re: Crossfading option causes skipping
Hi. I can also confirm this bug. I also think is somehow related to CPU and disk usage. When I'm using CPU and/or disk intensive applications, the skipping seems more frequent, but still random. (crossfading enabled).
