Hi,

I'm the debian maintainer for libtorrent-rasterbar, qbittorrent and
deluge.

Version 0.14.10-2~lucid~ppa1 seems to be from deluge-team ppa, isn't it? It
should be compatible with qbittorrent.

When using libtorrent 0.15.0 from other repositories you should be sure that
qbittorrent is rebuilt against the new version of the library (note the soname
bump libtorrent-rasterbar5 -> libtorrent-rasterbar6).

Thanks,

Users playing non-classic mode should know they need to install the daemon.
And BTW, non-classic could just mean connecting to a _remote_ daemon.

In any case, packages splitting wouldn't make sense with such a
dependency.

Upstream seems to agree.

Ok, but please avoid to use ORed build-deps, they are potentially dangerous
during package build and I've deleted them from debian almost immediately.

You don't really need the second change listed here. This is a problem I should
already have reported in 0.14.2 for Ubuntu. Users should be able to install
different versions of a library: only -dev packages must conflicts each other,
and this is the case with libtorrent-rasterbar naming scheme.

Hi,

this looks like a bug in libtorrent-rasterbar.

Are you able to reproduce it?
Could you please attach (or send me) the torrent causing the crash?

It would be really useful, stracktrace is not really enough for
debugging.

I guess you recently upgraded to deluge 1.x from the old 0.5.x version and

plugins available, namely Blocklist and Label.

I don't really know if the old 0.5.x version included a 'webui' plugin, maybe
you are only speaking about the web interface: if this is the case, you should
just install the deluge-webui package.

This is fixed in debian with libtorrent-rasterbar/0.14.2-2, please sync the

Ciao Luca,

lt/0.14.2 has just been accepted un unstable, in case you want to wait for a

Hi Andrew,

lt/0.14.2 is already packaged, actually sitting in the NEW queue[0], and I just
have to wait for it to be accepted by ftp-masters.

I don't know how much time it'll take to get out of NEW... maybe it'll bee too
late for Ubuntu sync. In any case, the source package is available at
mentors[1], in case you want (can?) do an upload for Ubuntu.

Anyway, it will be built against python 2.5, which is the current release in
Debian (python 2.6 is in NEW for experimental).

Please tell me if there is anything I can do.

Hi Andrew,

really thanks for your cooperation. I'd be glad if you managed the sync
request process for the following packages during the Feature Freeze
(i.e. when packages are not automatically synced from Debian, if I've
correctly understood):

libtorrent-rasterbar
deluge
qbittorrent

AFAICS you already filed sync request for those packages some days ago,
so I think you are interested in working with all of them in Ubuntu.

Further, please feel free to contact me every time our cooperation is
needed (bugs, patches, merges, ...).

Thanks,

[Bug 316305] please sync only from debian

2009-02-02 Thread Cristian Greco
Hi all,

I'm the current Debian maintainer for Deluge.

Deluge 1.1.2 just entered debian-experimental. The packaging delay is
due to licensing problem: source tarball has been repackaged removing a
file (in addition to the old repackaging work).

Who is the actual maintainer for Ubuntu? Why don't you wait for sync
with Debian instead of forking packaging work?

I'm really interested in cooperating with the actual maintainer.

Thanks,
