[Bug 532125] Re: Shift key gets stuck when using as client on Lucid and leave screen with mouse

2010-03-26 Thread CydeSwype
I can confirm this issue. I just started seeing it today after the
latest update though...had been fine prior. Shift key, Super key, Ctrl
key...they all seem to get stuck and make working very difficult.
Killing off synergyc fixes the problem right away though. Using lucid
as the synergy client and a WinXP box as the server.

[Bug 434262] Re: Karmic evolution cannot accept meeting invite to Google calendar

2009-09-29 Thread CydeSwype
Specfic steps taken to reproduce issue:
1. Open Evolution
2. Set up a Google calendar in Evolution (Under calendar, select new calendar
type of Google and enter credentials)
3. Receive a meeting invitation in Evolution.
4. In the invitation, select your Google calendar and hit Accept
5. Receive the error Unable to send item to calendar 'Google calendar name'.
 Authentication failed.

Expected behavior: To accept the meeting request and publish the event
to the Google calendar

Actual behavior: Rejected due to failed authentication.

I can create a Google calendar event from Evolution outside the context
of accepting a meeting invite, so the authentication should work for
accepting an invite as well.

[Bug 434262] [NEW] Karmic evolution cannot accept meeting invite to Google calendar

2009-09-21 Thread CydeSwype
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

Evolution 2.28.0 on Karmic Koala has trouble accepting meeting invites
to a Google calendar. I have my main Google calendar added to my
Evolution client and all the meetings I have in Google calendar are
showing inside the Evolution interface. However, when someone sends me
a meeting invite and I attempt to accept it to my Google calendar I
receive an authentication error. It seems that the Google calendar
integration is only working in one direction (from gcal to evolution,
but not the other way).

This used to work in Jaunty so some sort of regression happening?

[Bug 349878] [NEW] Dual monitors with different resolutions display notify window incorrectly

1920x1200 resolution. using twinview.

Hitting the mute button is an easy way to see where the notification
window will appear, so I hit the mute button and see the notification
window popup near the top right corner of my top screen, but it gets
clipped (as if it was assuming my resolution was greater than it is.

[Bug 256441] Re: Enhanced Zoom animation temporarily restrains mouse movement

2008-11-14 Thread CydeSwype
want to piggyback on this...as i think my issue is related. when using
twinview on multiple displays, if i zoom in (using this same compiz
zoom) i often times get stuck. if i zoom in on my external screen, my
laptop screen doesn't zoom in. if i move my mouse to my laptop
(unzoomed) screen, the mouse then gets stuck indefinitely, getting reset
to the right edge of the screen, making it impossible to unzoom.

so...i can confirm this behavior. if the cursor were unfrozen, the rest
of my bug (async zooming) wouldn't be an issue because i could mouse
back over to the zoomed in screen and zoom out.

[Bug 288926] [NEW] sound recorder records too fast

Public bug reported:

In Intrepid, launch sound recorder and select an input (shouldn't one be
selected by default?). on my machine i only have one option: capture.

click the record button and note that each second of record time gets
registered as about 2 minutes. after clicking stop, the application
usually hangs for a bit before letting you continue. playback of the
recorded audio doesn't appear to work (it plays silence for the
exaggerated duration).

[Bug 122653] Re: network-manager asks about WPA key forever even after correct entry

2007-07-13 Thread CydeSwype
i'd like to confirm this bug. i also have this problem. nm seems fine
with standard open access points, but WPA (i'm using tkip specifically)
gives it problems. continually asks for the password (sets up keyring
successfully after a few tries but this doesn't seem to help at all).

[Bug 122178] nm-applet crashes upon allow access to keyring

2007-06-25 Thread CydeSwype
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

1. everything works fine when connected via cat5, so start up with that.
2. nm-applet shows in the tray as expected
3. click the nm-applet icon and select a wireless access point (i happen to be
selecting one that is WPA protected).
4. after setting up the keyring association, click allow once or always
allow and notice that the tray icon disappears.

i assume this is a crash within nm-applet.

[Bug 122178] not an issue with open WAPs

2007-06-25 Thread CydeSwype
This is not an issue with open wireless access points. I cannot confirm
if it is an issue with WEP protected APs. I'm only able to vouch for
the problem on WPA (PSK) protected APs.
