Specfic steps taken to reproduce issue: 1. Open Evolution 2. Set up a Google calendar in Evolution (Under calendar, select "new calendar" type of "Google" and enter credentials) 3. Receive a meeting invitation in Evolution. 4. In the invitation, select your Google calendar and hit "Accept" 5. Receive the error "Unable to send item to calendar ''. Authentication failed." want to piggyback on this...as i think my issue is related. when using twinview on multiple displays, if i zoom in (using this same compiz zoom) i often times get "stuck." if i zoom in on my external screen, my laptop screen doesn't zoom in. if i move my mouse to my laptop (unzoomed) screen, the mouse then gets stuck indefinitely, getting reset to the right edge of the screen, making it impossible to unzoom. so...i can confirm this behavior. if the cursor were unfrozen, the rest of my bug (async zooming) wouldn't be an issue because i could mouse back over to the zoomed in screen and zoom out. -- Enhanced Zoom animation temporarily restrains mouse movement https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/256441 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This is not an issue with open wireless access points. I cannot confirm if it is an issue with WEP protected APs. I'm only able to vouch for the problem on WPA (PSK) protected APs. ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gnome-panel 1. everything works fine when connected via cat5, so start up with that. 2. nm-applet shows in the tray as expected 3. click the nm-applet icon and select a wireless access point (i happen to be selecting one that is WPA protected). - 4. after setting up the keyring association, click "allow access once" or "allow access always" and notice that the tray icon disappears. + 4. after setting up the keyring association, click "allow once" or "always allow" and notice that the tray icon disappears. i assume this is a crash within nm-applet.
