[Bug 938751] Re: jpeg images are washed out or colors are skewed
I was wondering about this as well, but I figured that it doesn't seem to be a bug at all. The reason why it looks for some of you "correct" in Gimp is, because you don't have color management for your monitor enabled in the preferences (either set a specific monitor profile there, or tick the fallback option, which will make it use the color profile from the window manager). Thus, what Gimp is showing you all is the image without your monitor profile applied, while EOG always uses your monitor profile. So when the image in EOG looks dull to you, that's actually how it's supposed to look like. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/938751 Title: jpeg images are washed out or colors are skewed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/eog/+bug/938751/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 586121] [NEW] Unable to force workspace for contactlist or chat-window
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy Using empathy 2.30.1 on Ubuntu Lucid, I'm experiencing the following bug (which the code refers to as 'feature'): As I'm using multiple viewports, and empathy and another view applications are set to run at startup, I want those to spawn at certain workspaces in specific positions. This works fine for all applications except empathy. It automatically re-appears at the last position where you closed it and always on the current viewport, even tho the window manager (compiz) places it on a specific viewport on a certain position. The reason for this is the following: When you start empathy, the window manager (compiz) positions the window on viewport 4 at 1920x0 (in my case), any probably with a fixed size. Empathy calls the function "empathy_window_present" in "libempathy-gtk /empathy-ui-utils.c" when the contactlist or the chat-window spawns, which checks if the window is on the current viewport (which it isn't). In this case, it first tries to move it to the current viewport (which fails, since it can only move between workspaces). So then it hides the window and shows it agian, which makes it appear on the current workspace. Since it was reopned now, it grabs the position from the last known one, which is the one when you closed it last time manually. This behaviour renders fixed positioning useless. According to the code, it is a wanted behaviour, sine a user would always expect that the contactlist opens on the current viewport. I agree with that in so far, that if it was not already opened, it opens there, but if it is already open, and moved by the window manager, it should not try to re-open itself in the current viewport. ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable to force workspace for contactlist or chat-window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/586121 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Will be pretty bad if nobody will be able to install Lucid in a RAID configuration. -- /boot destroyed during install even when formatting disabled (alternate installer) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 542210] Re: /boot destroyed during install even when formatting disabled (alternate installer)
I have the same problem (Ubuntu Lucid Beta 1, alternate installer). I created two RAID1 partitions on two disks, one for boot and one for LVM. Then I formatted the boot RAID parition with ext3. After setting up LVM was done and I completed the parition creation, the installer popped up the following error: "The attempt to mount a file system with type ext3 in RAID1 device #0 at /boot failed." -- /boot destroyed during install even when formatting disabled (alternate installer) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 522295] Re: [needs-packaging] Include PHP 5.3 in Lucid
Sure we could have php5.2 and php5.3 packages, but if PHP 5.3 doesn't get included at all, this will hold back wide 5.3 development at least another 6 months. -- [needs-packaging] Include PHP 5.3 in Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522295 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 308566] [NEW] Systray on secondary X-session doesn't work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel I have three monitors here, two powered by a large desktop via TwinView and a third one running a separate X-session. This X-session has it's own panel with a systray in it, but when I start programs like Pidgin and others, which usually place icons in the systray, they don't appear there. This works actually fine, when I start the programs on the main X-session (then they appear in the main systray). There are no error messages regarding this in the xsession-errors file, so I don't have any further information. Release: Ubuntu Intrepid Gnome-Panel: 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu2.1 ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Systray on secondary X-session doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/308566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 80433] Re: System tray Icon plugin for Gaim dosen't work on 2nd X screen
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 103146 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103146 I can confirm the bug here on Ubuntu Intrepid with Pidgin 2.5.2. I have three monitors, the two right ones connected via twinview, and the left one using a separate screen. I have pidgin running on the left screen, but there it doesn't show up in the systray. When I run it on the main twinview-screen, it appears there in the systray. ** Also affects: pidgin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- System tray Icon plugin for Gaim dosen't work on 2nd X screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/80433 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 178400] Re: [Hardy] Xorg high CPU usage with 2.6.24 kernel and nvidia-glx
I can confirm this as well. AMD Phenom 9500, Geforce 8800GT, 2GB Ram and one of the core is at 100% when I start moving 2D-Stuff around (like cards in Freecell Solitair). Moving windows and icons is no problem, maybe because they are accelerated by compiz via the GFX card. This bug is really disturbing, have to disable Compiz currently. -- [Hardy] Xorg high CPU usage with 2.6.24 kernel and nvidia-glx https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178400 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
