Hi all.
I have exactly the same issue, and for me, it is a Sophos AV problem.
To stop the Sophos active scan, launch the following command in a terminal :
sudo /opt/sophos-av/bin/savdctl disable

Once it is done, FF and TB are back !

Same problem here, even reinstalling linux32 won't help.

/usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer.bin: error while loading
shared libraries: libXcomposite.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory

Reinstalled every ia32 and lib32 packages, no diffrent.

Same here, kooka and quiteinsane work fine. Error with xsane and xsane
plugin:

(xsane:9783): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_style_copy: assertion `GTK_IS_STYLE (style)' 
failed
Segmentatiefout (core dumped)
