[Bug 1148033] Re: GDBus.Error:org.openobex:Error.Failed: Unable to request session

2013-08-02 Thread Damien Wendlinger
This error affects me too (13.04), but on both sides (computer to phone AND
phone to computer)
using comment #38, ran bluez-simple-agent from terminal, and sending files
(computer - phone) is working.
If bluez-simple-agent is not running, the error raises again.

However, sending files from phone to computer still doesn't work, although both
computer and phone are paired,
and phone is set to always accept for this device.
(phone is android 4.0.4, and computer is Dell Vostro 1510 with Bluetooth
integrated device, but same behaviour with an
external dongle)

Hope this contributes to help...

[Bug 955409] Re: The date does not update to the correct date on the indicator

2012-12-28 Thread Damien Wendlinger
I'm experiencing the same behavior as described, but with ubuntu 12.10 (x86),
and calendar-indicator 0.1.0.8.quantal.1.
Seems that the fix released for ubuntu 11.10 / calendar-indicator 0.0.2.7 is
not working fine here.

installing the new seahorse package + reboot + unlocking keyring gives the
ability to change keyring password.
At next reboot, no prompt for unlocking keyring anymore.

2012-10-24 Thread Damien Wendlinger
Same behavior for me :
Ubuntu : 12.10 - uptodate
Firefox : 16.0.1 - uptodate
It's not a fresh install but an upgrade 12.04 - 12.10 (no problem otherwise
reported)
The do you want to add gmail... ? in Firefox appears almost every time I log
into gmail
Each time has a yes answered, but nothing happens then.
= Within firefox, PreferencesDesktop Integration shows a checked prompt for

and the Exceptions list is just empty
unity-webapps-gmail is v2.4.7

[Bug 753976] Re: session restart/logout/shutdown menus are missing

2012-01-08 Thread Damien Wendlinger
I've got the same problem.
I tried to check / uncheck the keys under Apps/Indicator-Session/ (eg.
suppress_shutdown_menuitem suppress_logout_restart_shutdown) both in gconf
dconf, but no change
When running /usr/lib/indicator-session/gtk-logout-helper --shutdown, the
dialog is shown, and I can choose between shutdown, restart cancel.
Distribution is ubuntu 10.10, with gnome-shell, but this behavior is the same
when under unity.

1.9.0.13+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1

After reboot, the problem is once again back there.

Seems that libnss3-dev libnspr4-dev are involved in both 2 last
updates, but it may be a chance : they are not listed in previous
updates I logged there.

After reboot, the problem is back !

[Bug 400869] Re: after running update manager, Nautilus cannot handle computer location

2009-07-27 Thread Damien Wendlinger
I am using ubuntuone-client.
I did not try to remove see if this helps (saw this report AFTERWARDS...) but
if this behavior comes back again, i'll check it update...
However, i tried to 'sudo make uninstall' glib-2.20.1, which was not installed
when the problem came up.
so installed it, then uninstalled it this makes the problem disappear.

Please notice some visible clues when the problem is there :
* trash icon is gone (trying to re-add it on panel seems to work (no error
raised) but no icon)
* when trying to open the computer icon, gedit comes up with the error
nautilus cannot handle [name:] locations (this can be computer)
* no usb drive is available (even SD-Cards)
* some menus in 'system' are set back to english (i'm using the 'fr' locale).
For example, Preferences item is in english (not 'préférences', but
'preferences'). The 3 items 'Help', 'About Gnome' and 'About ubuntu' are also
set back to english. Other items within menus are, too.

If this helps :
* trying to reinstall (through synaptics) gvfs gvfs-backends gvfs-bin gvfs-fuse
packages don't change
* trying to reinstall ubuntu-desktop doesn't help either

I found other people experiencing the same thing. Please find the link below :
* http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=801597page=4 (see post #37)

I don't know if the logs (post #10, from Sebastien Bacher) would help,
but if yes, please let me know !

[Bug 69717] Re: [acx] failed to free tx buffers - maybe card too hot

2007-09-21 Thread Damien Wendlinger
encountering this issue too, I found this bug report, but on a
2.6.20-16-generic kernel (ubuntu 7.04), not a 2.6.20-17 kernel...
what I can say (sorry for low-level technical information, but may help,
never know) :
* I have an ATI video card (3D Rage Pro AGP 1X/2X), no nVidia (see link in
Chris Wagner's Post)
* It not an OS-shared PC : 100% linux on it, no double-boot.
* IRQ 11 is shared betw. this PCI card (Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps
Wireless Interface just like Chris Wagner's one) and my Ethernet Card (Realtek
RTL8029(AS) PCI)
* I've got this problem since ... tonight ... never got any kind of
disconnection before (well, just when playing with wep settings, but nothing to
do with it, is it ?)
* This PC has been under Ubuntu 6.10 upgr. to 7.04 and is up to date.
* No software installed betw. yesterday and tonight
* I see all my neighborhood wireless networks (incl. mine)
* I can connect to my essid from a laptop which gets good signal when placed
besides the 1st PC.
* This problem came up from 1st boot today (eg. probably not a question of
temperature)
If needed, I can spend time on contributing... but (sorry again) please be
rather explicit for tests to do (eg which command,
which switches, etc..), for I am a quite young penguin for now...

Kindest Regards,
Damien
