[Bug 544596] Re: Songs not transferred from music store to U1 storage

2010-05-01 Thread Dan Holliday
I have another update... After 3 hours I finally have the folders created in
the .ubuntuone folder.
And 1 of my 2 status have changed to 0.0MB of 0.0MB Downloaded. The other
track still remains as transferring to your One storage.

[Bug 544596] Re: Songs not transferred from music store to U1 storage

2010-05-01 Thread Dan Holliday
Still no luck. I removed all files from my remote one account, delete the
.ubuntuone folder from my profile.
Then rebooted. Went into rythmbox and clicked on ubuntu one. It told me my
songs had been removed I could download them 2 more times. I selected 1 track
and clicked download it again. The queued... status appeared but nothing
happened, I left it about 20 minutes and still the queued... status. I checked
the remove ubuntu one and my file was there, but locally the .ubuntuone folder
had been created but no subfolders with in it.

I then clicked the next file. As soon as I did this the first file
changed to Transferring to your Ubuntu One Storage. Odd because I know
it's already there. Any way have left it now for awhile and no change.
The first file says transferring, and the second says queued. I'm going
to leave my computer on all day and see what happens.

[Bug 544596] Re: Songs not transferred from music store to U1 storage

2010-05-01 Thread Dan Holliday
Cheers Matt,

Yes the files are in my personal cloud, but I thought I would not
transfer them manually so I could confirm the bug is fixed. I live the
UK, and the ubuntu one, is currently down for maintenance so I presume
the bug is being fix as we speak. I'll let you know if it has resolved
the issue when it comes back up.

[Bug 544596] Re: Songs not transferred from music store to U1 storage

2010-04-30 Thread Dan Holliday
What a shame Ubuntu it great, and the Ubuntu 1 is a great idea.
Such a shame that it just doesn't work. Sadly I think many new comers
will loose trust straight away. This should have been fixed before
releasing 10.04. I normally buy my music through play.com, but as
Ubuntu 1 was exactly the same price I thought I'd try with this. This
for me is the worst mistake you've made. I hope you get it fixed soon.
In the mean time I've left everything as it is, so hopefully when the
bug is fixed all my songs will magically sync.

[Bug 538124] Re: Connecting to a CUPS server has no effect on other applications

2010-04-15 Thread Dan Holliday
I have the same problem, but maybe with slightly different out come.
When connecting to a cups server I can see my printers, I can then add a
printer and set it to default. If I then go into any other application
I cannot see my added printer. If I close the "Printing" dialogue box
and return to it all my printers have gone and I need to click Server >
Connect again. This was working in beta1 of lucid, just seems to be a
recent change.

[Bug 381033] [NEW] nautilus selection doesn't work when using mouse and keyboard

2009-05-27 Thread Dan Holliday
Public bug reported:

I know it's a little thing, but it really bugs me.
If I load nautilus up and I view the files and folders as a list I get the
following problem.

If I use the keyboard to quickly move to a folder that starts with 'S',
I press the 'S' key. In this case it takes me to a folder called
software. Which is great. But then if I use the mouse and double click
the software folder all the folders jump about and I end up opening a
random folder 3 or 4 items above or below the folder I clicked.

This may only occur if the list of folders is large enough to require
scrolling.

Re: [Bug 363652] Re: Totem Movie Player crashes when going to full screen

2009-04-19 Thread Dan Holliday
Hi there

Its a nvidia GeForce 6600 GT, and I'm using the Ubuntu restricted nvidia
driver called "NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 180)
[Recommended].

I will do a backtrace later and upload that for more info.
I have managed to work around the problem (sort of but the performance
drops a lot) I did it by running gstreamer-properties from terminal and
then under Video selecting the X Window System (No Xv) option. This
resolves the problem but the video becomes very sluggish if I'm doing
any other process... So I still think there is an underlying issue.

Regards

Dan

[Bug 363652] [NEW] Totem Movie Player crashes when going to full screen

2009-04-19 Thread Dan Holliday
Public bug reported:

If I run totem 2.26.1 on ubuntu 9.04 by double click a file, and then
try to go to fullscreen totem closes with out any error being reported
back to the end user. I have twinview turned on using a nvidia card
with the latest nvidia drivers. If however I turn twinview off
everything works fine. I can use VLC to play video full screen, however
and I think this might help located the problem. If under preferences
on VLC i select Video/Output modules and leave it as default I get
exactly the same symptoms as in totem. If i change the videooutput
module to X11 Video output, the problem goes away. This appears to
happen on all video formats, WMV, AVI, DVD... etc.

I hope you can fix this bug, I've been having this problem since 7.10
but always assumed it would get fixed.
