[Bug 431142] Re: [Karmic] cdrom don't mount automatic
This problem occurs with a USB modem device which contains a small iso9660 filesystem as well. I can confirm that it was working with Jaunty, but has not worked since. [Bug 401778] Re: Patch 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2 causes Xorg race condition
I've seen exactly the same problem. When music is playing my load average rises quickly, rendering the system unusable within about 10 minutes. Load averages above 7 are not unusual. Tested with different audio packages (audacity, vlc, mplayer, Ubuntu default Movie player) and the experience is the same. $ lsmod | grep snd snd_intel8x0 37532 3 snd_ac97_codec112292 1 snd_intel8x0 ac97_bus9856 1 snd_ac97_codec snd_pcm_oss46336 0 snd_mixer_oss 22656 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_pcm82948 3 snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss snd_timer 29704 1 snd_pcm snd62628 12 snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer soundcore 15200 1 snd snd_page_alloc 16904 2 snd_intel8x0,snd_pcm $ uname -r 2.6.28-13-generic The problem appeared following the security fixes that came out in 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2. I have not yet tried downgrading, so if you need additional data, let me know. -- Patch 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2 causes Xorg race condition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 401778] Re: Patch 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2 causes Xorg race condition
Note also that system load level begins dropping immediately after I stop playing music. -- Patch 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2 causes Xorg race condition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 195982] Re: Shift key (and caps lock) stop working when using VMWare
This seems to be a VMWare bug, caused by its inability to properly read (or keep) the keymappings. The following workaround apparently addresses all of the issues raised above: http://nthrbldyblg.blogspot.com/2008/06/vmware-and-fubar-keyboard- effect.html IME, it does at least address the issues raised in comment 187 and (so far) has kept any of the other keyboard related issues for me on Ubuntu 8.10 running VMWare Workstation 6.5. -- Shift key (and caps lock) stop working when using VMWare https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/195982 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
