All I know is that you should be using driver iwlagn instead of iwl4965 and that I'm having a lot of problems connecting to my access point since I upgraded to Intrepid. [Bug 59695] Re: High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime
I just got a new Dell laptop and I'm getting an average of 31 clicks per hour. Load_Cycle_Count / Power_On_Hours = 1706 / 55. I just went to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerManagement to try to fix this but the "How to get disks idleing correctly (without excessive load cycling)" part is everything but clear. Why ask people not to use this as a support forum but don't provide a link to a support thread? I'm using Suse until Ubuntu can get this sorted out. Maybe Ubuntu should use Suse's fix. -- High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 238742] Re: Some read emals are maked as unread
It happens when I close the program with the "x" button and also when I shutdown my computer without exiting evolution first. I get the same behavior on both of my accounts, and both are with Gmail. The emails are marked as unread, I have to click again on them and wait for 2 or 3 secs before its marked as read again. -- Some read emals are maked as unread https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238742 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 238742] [NEW] Some read emals are maked as unread
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Fist of all, this doesn't happen every time but it does happen enough for it to be annoying. I open Evolution and read all my mail, close it and then the next time I open it, some of the mails I have already read, are marked as unread again. This behavior also happens when you select the Inbox and mark all messages as read. This started when I changed my gmail accounts from POP to IMAP so I think this is only an IMAP problem. Both of my computers are affected, one is x86 and the other is x86_64. I'm using Ubuntu Hardy , all updates, Evolution 2.22.2-0ubuntu1.2 ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some read emals are maked as unread https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238742 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 59695] Re: High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime
I agree, the lack of a working fix is very disappointing but I really don't think there is a lack of effort to solve it. BTW your comment doesn't help at all, instead of making threats why don't you try talking to Dell about your problem, after all you have a warranty and they should give you a solution that works for you.
