Re: [Bug 645322] Re: Default Config points to incorrect Font
Yes that could be related, in fact I originally thought the error was related to the no textures found message as it segfaulted directly after. Performing: apt-file search Vera.ttf does not list any package in 10.10 that contains Vera.ttf in the default location of the projectM config. If its relevant, I am using a custom build of projectM based on svn's projectM-test code On Fri, Sep 24, 2010 at 11:03 AM, Matthias Klumpp <645...@bugs.launchpad.net> wrote: > This might cause bug #634925 for which I committed a workaround already. Re: [Bug 645322] Re: Default Config points to incorrect Font
No, I've never installed projectM before, I am using 10.10 and if I remove the config file, it regenerates the config with the bad values, specifically Title Font = /usr/share/fonts/bitstream-vera/Vera.ttf Menu Font = /usr/share/fonts/bitstream-vera/VeraMono.ttf when those fonts are actually located at Title Font = /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bitstream-vera/Vera.ttf Menu Font = /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bitstream-vera/VeraMono.ttf On Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 4:16 AM, Matthias Klumpp <645...@bugs.launchpad.net> wrote: > This is interesting... [Bug 645322] [NEW] Default Config points to incorrect Font

[Bug 360319] Re: [GM45] (Needs -intel 2.7.0) memory leak causes system to run out of memory (UXA/EXA)
well i just installed this from the ppa described from an earlier comment and I can say it makes things a heck of a lot more bearable, if not fixed, on my system. Been running since about 6 hours ago and normally would leaked about 250 megs of memory by now (just looking at my conky stats and knowing what my systems idle statistics are). Since installing from the ppa it looks like everythings gravy. I have (and have had) UXA enabled in the xorg.conf Im probably just gonna freeze this package and all related cause im kinda tired of dealing with this : / -- [GM45] (Needs -intel 2.7.0) memory leak causes system to run out of memory (UXA/EXA) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360319 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 332656] [NEW] python-setuptools for 2.6 runs under 2.5
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: python-setuptools I opened /usr/bin/easy_install-2.6 and found the first line to be #!/usr/bin/python2.5 so needless to say it wasn't installing libraries for 2.6 when using easy_install. I changed the offending line to run under python2.6 Just to note, I started testing jaunty by doing a $> sudo upgrade- manager -d and had a python2.6 installed from from a ppa and setuptools installed from source, all working fine before hand, but if not a problem in jaunty packages, then maybe a problem introduced during upgrade somehow. [Bug 241808] Re: simple script returns seg fault on ubu64
Hi bliZZardz, Yes, i was aware of that from the wiki and as far as i can tell, that is in regards to ubuntu 32bit and on exit of a successfully run script, there is a segfault, as was what happened when i successfully ran the script in 32bit ubu. Nevertheless I installed the modified deb package they provided and attempted to run the script and so no difference in output, which lead me to believe the above since they did not specify architecture on the wiki. I have since reverted the deb package and then even removed 64bit ubuntu so i could work with this library on my laptop. I do have another system with ubuntu that i could do testing with if something comes up though. -- simple script returns seg fault on ubu64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 109635] Re: inaccessible website via ubuntu 7 networking platform
It is also worth mentioning perhaps, as a long shot to try and fix this problem, i tried disabling ipv6 as a last ditched effort last nite by doing the following sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/aliases Find the line: alias net-pf-10 ipv6 Edit this to: alias net-pf-10 off sudo modules-update Save the file and reboot and turned off ipv6 in firefox. This had no effect and i have since reenabled this functionalilty. It is also worth noting that the other ubuntu machine is a complete unmodified base install (thats to say, no tinkering to fix this problem), only the one modified /etc/nsswitch.conf file -- inaccessible website via ubuntu 7 networking platform https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109635 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 109635] inaccessible website via ubuntu 7 networking platform
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 7.04, tested on two different machines found on the same network; worth noting these are the only two machines running ubuntu. Problem did not exist on Ubuntu 6.x I hardly know how to explain this so ill state what has happened and what i have done. There are two difficulties 1) There is a website maintained by my company. It is a backend system accessible from the web via https://my.iscgrp.com/ 2) There is an ssh service running on a public machine i wont give out but needless to say the same problem. The problem is this using, firefox2, opera9 or links; i can not connect to said public website. Or more specifically from what i can tell, it DOES connect but does not receive any data back. As with the ssh connection I cannot connect. I also have vmplayer installed on my machine. If I boot up my windows instance and use the virtual ethernet device (which is its own instance, own ip; thats to say, NOT bridged to the ubuntu ethernet device) I CAN connect to these things. This problem persisted before i did the following as well. I had also noted that i could not connect to .local addresses on ubuntu 7.04 and found a bug report filed in regards to the /etc/nsswitch.conf file in regards to the following line >> hosts: files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] dns mdns4 I'm uncertain which entry was the culprit but i do know its either mdns4_minimal or [NOTFOUND=return] and ill keep my wild guesses to myself. Currently my /etc/nsswitch.conf looks as so to fix .local domain problems >> hosts: files mdns4 dns #files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] dns mdns4 Upon doing a tcpdump on my ubuntu end of the transaction with the webserver it appears to just hang around waiting for a response via mdns. If i push dns before mdns4 it hangs as well. If i install wins and add an entry preceeding those two, it hangs on wins as well waiting for a response. upon doing a tcpdump in regards to the ssh connection from the server side and the ubuntu client side, both parties appear to be waiting on something from the other, though im not at all familiar with tcpdump to be making such deductions so i could be wrong. As it is, im wondering if there is some sort of ssl package that is lessed from from 7 vs 6 or if a configuration file has changed somehow messing this up or if a compile went wrong for a low level service on ubuntu 7. Right now im looking to install 6 on a virtual machine on my workstation and investigate into config files. Any help, ideas or feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- inaccessible website via ubuntu 7 networking platform https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109635 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
