Is that good? The "changed in" bit? [Bug 108346] Re: I get a blank screen when I log out, and am forced to reboot the computer.
I disabled my ATI accelerated graphics driver using Restricted Drivers Manager, and now I have no 3D acceleration, but I can log out nicely now. -- I get a blank screen when I log out, and am forced to reboot the computer. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm using gdm, I installed GNOME first, and the problem is with all three desktops. [Bug 108346] I get a blank screen when I log out, and am forced to reboot the computer.
Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn, I log out in order to check things on my login window, and most of the time the screen goes blank. I cannot interact with it at all, and after losing my patience I am forced to reboot the computer. I am particularly annoyed because my setting are not saved and I need to change them again. Since I have just installed the kubuntu- desktop and xubuntu-desktop packages, I will be logging out far more than usual - to change sessions - and I pretty much need this problem solved ASAP. Some further information: Computer is Dell Inspiron 1501 (laptop) Running Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn (and Kubuntu and Xubuntu, same versions) Dual booted with Windows XP Professional SP2 (soon to change to Windows Vista Business) I am the only user on this computer, so there is only one login name (for both Linux and Windows) It does not happen all the time - but I only successfully logged out *before* installing the desktop packages once, out of about three or four attempts. *After* installing the desktop packages I have logged out four times and none of them successful. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- I get a blank screen when I log out, and am forced to reboot the computer. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
