[Bug 1727130] Re: Marking text using touchpad stops working after awaking from suspended state on laptop
FWIW This description perfectly describes behaviour is still present on 18.04 in X1C laptops. Specifically my X1 Carbon 5th Gen (fully firmware updated in Windows), fully software updated 18.04, has this behaviour repeatably. It would appear related to variety of other bugs around touchpad malfunction on sleep awake in the X1C series. the modprobe -r psmouse && modprobe psmouse fix works for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1727130 Title: Marking text using touchpad stops working after awaking from suspended state on laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libinput/+bug/1727130/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1806947] [NEW] Machine will not correctly enter Suspend state (Thinkpad X1 5th gen, 18.04)
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: On a Thinkpad X1 Carbon running 18.04 bionic Attempt to suspend (using the the 'manual suspend' option from Gnome settings, hold down 'power' until changes to 'pause' symbol') Expected behaviour: machine goes into suspend state, display off, fans off, power led blinking slowing to indicate can be woken only by pressing power button Actual behaviour: - display goes off - fans shut down - physical power button led starts to flash slowing - i.e. machine otherwise appears to go into normal 'suspend' state - however, after approximate 1 second, without touching anything: - the display wakes back up at the lock screen - power led comes back on full - machine is back out of suspend, without touching keys or mouse Other notes: - would appear to be 18.04 specific, as works find under 18.10 - Lenovo bios version 1.35 Possibly similiar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1797364 but they report removing TLP solves problem (my machine does not have TLP installed) and they report dmesg errors that I do not see. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1113420 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113420 Agreed not a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113420. The bug here seems to be in the Settings->Keyboard applet or whatever underlying data structures populate it. Specifically - on my 16.10, the entries for Navigation->Switch Applications appears as 'Disabled' (should say 'Alt-Tab', shouldn't it?) and Navigation->Switch windows of an App directly' appears as 'Disabled' (should say 'Alt-`). If these populated correctly, I would assume they could be modified/disabled. [Bug 1671231] [NEW] dash does not display correctly in my config
Public bug reported: multimonitor config (displayport alt mode over usb c) noticed previously that selecting 'scale controls to monitor with smallest controls' causes the Dash to scale incorrectly, and it is impossible to view icons After connecting and disconnecting monitor several times (in course of normal docking/undocking) the dash does not display at all (in fact you can see the outline and some artifacts, but no icons or text) Screen shot attached. look carefully where the launcher should be appearing.
