[Bug 1354184] Re: Unavailable for armhf/armv7l architecture
Seems to be the case in Raspbian and Bananian too. I don't think it's in the Debian packages for armhf. There is a p7zip-rar package if that helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1354184 Title: Unavailable for armhf/armv7l architecture To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rar/+bug/1354184/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1286637] [NEW] Ubuntu hangs on install with black screen
Public bug reported: I've tried with secure boot enabled and disabled and also tried with legacy support enabled. All variations of those options were tried. For Ubuntu, I've tried 13.10 on USB and CD and also 12.04 on CD, but computer always hangs. I do get the option of running Ubuntu live or installing. Doesn't seem to matter which option I choose. Another screen comes up that ubuntu with dots that blink like its loading. I then see some text appear but then it disappears quickly, not long enough to read. The text looks like linux displays when booting up. Soon as it disappears it goes to a black screen Trying to load on a laptop peloaded windows 8. Its a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15 Model E8A65UA. Purchased December 2013. ** Affects: shim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1286637 Title: Ubuntu hangs on install with black screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim/+bug/1286637/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 963758] [NEW] mobile broadband is not recognised
Public bug reported: I use a HSDPA USB modem model number: MF626 and on some occasions when booting up the computer Network Manager does not recognise the device even though it has been set up. I sometimes have to reboot 2 or 3 times to get it to be recognised before I can use it to connect to internet. [Bug 482836] Re: Samba shared printers not accessible under Vista and Windows7
Just a follow up - Jeremy Allison has pointed out the problem on this Samba discussion thread: http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2010-January/153456.html The short answer is printing in the 3.4 branch of Samba needs a lot of development tweaking. To get around this problem I have 'downgraded' to the Debian Samba 3.3.10 packages provided by SerNet: http://enterprisesamba.org/ Point and print works without any issues and so does printing from 64bit Windows desktops. [Bug 482836] Re: Samba shared printers not accessible under Vista and Windows7
This problem is still present when trying to add a printer from a Karmic Samba/CUPS print server when using any Windows 64bit client. i.e. Tested on Windows XP 64bit and Windows 7 64bit. 32bit versions of Windows XP on the other hand can add and print to the printer just fine. Just like in the initial bug description, the printer is a RAW CUPS device with Samba configured to use the client driver. * The CUPS-native drivers cannot be used as specific features of the Windows print driver is required. The interim workaround has been to use: net use lpt2 \\server\printer And then setup the printer as a local printer on LPT2 with the native Windows driver. This has been successful with both Windows XP 64bit and Windows 7 64bit. Still it would be nice to be able to setup the printer the standard way...
