[Bug 376138] [NEW] DeviceKit Power does not save battery history (Directory does not exist)

2009-05-13 Thread David Iwanowitsch
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: devicekit-power

The battery history files (needed for gnome-power-statistics) are not
saved to disk.

devicekit-power trys to save the files every ten minutes. After doing
'sudo mkdir /var/lib/DeviceKit-power/' and waiting ten minutes, the
history files do exist.

I think it would be the best to create the folder while package
installation.

[Bug 350590] Re: [Hotkey] EeePC 901 wrong keycode on Changescreen Key

2009-03-28 Thread David Iwanowitsch
I was not sure where to report this Bug.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hotkeys/Troubleshooting says:
3 c) if the keycode itself is wrong, this is a bug in xkeyboard-config.
10) If the events are reported by more than one input device then report a
kernel bug (Ubuntu linux package) because it should only send the event on one
device.

I have choosen the first, sorry if this is wrong.

[Bug 350552] [NEW] [Hotkey] EeePC 901 Brightnesskeys not translated from ACPI to Input event

2009-03-28 Thread David Iwanowitsch
Public bug reported:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System ->
About Ubuntu.
Jaunty Beta with all Updates.
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename'
or by checking in Synaptic.
da...@eeetesting:~$ apt-cache policy linux
linux:
  Installiert: (keine)
  Kandidat: 2.6.28.11.14
  Versions-Tabelle:
 2.6.28.11.14 0
500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/restricted Packages
3) What you expected to happen
Change Brightness and see notification/osd
4) What happened instead
Brightness changes correctly, but no notification is shown.

Pressing brightnesskeys on my EeePc 901 does increase or decrease
Brightness, but there is no notification about this.

The Command
xev | sed -n 's/^.*state \([0-9].*\), keycode *\([0-9]\+\) *\(.*\), .*$/keycode
\2 = \3, state = \1/p'
doesn't see any event.
But acpi_listen reports every keypress.
