[Bug 472081] [NEW] package openoffice.org-filter-binfilter (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org while upgraded to 9.10 openoffice cause a big mess for me on this computer harddrive, Version 9.10 is too much intertwined with openoffice packages! it stopped the entire upgraded to version 9.10 and allowed only a partial upgrade. even the Synaptic Package Manager only allowed version 0.62.5 to be upgraded, yet if you look at the package within this package version you will see that Synaptic Package Manger states it is version 0.65.7. also see bug report 472034, this was reported just after trying to upgrade. this OS/Distribution is totally from Ubuntu 9.04, now I also have another harddrive that has the same 9.04 although it is modified to be a different Distribution and the upgrade to Version 9.10 went almost 99.9% clean-no hitch/bugs- after rebooting, my original menu.lst showed and allowed me to entered Ubuntu, but I have a lot of applications missing and the automatic upgrade package manager showed 2 openoffice items and I tried to install them, but they crashed.
