[Bug 1460340] [NEW] CtrlP plugin is not loaded

2015-05-30 Thread Davim
Public bug reported:

After installing vim-ctrlp the plugin is not loaded in vim.

However, if I copy the files from /usr/share/vim/addons/ (from the
package vim-ctrlp_1.79+git20141013-1_all.deb ) into
~/.vim/bundle/ctrlp.vim the plugin works as expected.

I've figured it out, my modem is from Vodafone and the product number is
different, I've changed the lines:

sudo usb_modeswitch -v 12d1 -p 1505 -V 12d1 -P 1506 -M

to

sudo echo 12d1 14c8 /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id

55534243123456780011062001 -n 1
sleep 30

and it's working now :)

is there a way of making the modeswitch thing automatical?

I don't need to use wvdial because network manager detects the modem
correctly after the modswitch.

I will try that but I don't think the problem has to do ith the kernel,
the 3g dongle is detected and it registers to the network and gets an IP
address, the problem is the ppp part, the tunnel is not established.

[Bug 790747] [NEW] Ubuntu 10.04 freeze on boot when using more than 512M

2011-05-31 Thread Davim
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.35-29-generic-pae

Hello,
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS as a gest on a Citrix Xenserver Pool.
After installing kernel 2.6.35-29-generic-pae, released a few days ago some of
my VMs stoped booting.
If I reduce the VM memory to 512M it will boot but if I give the VM 1024M or
2048M of RAM all I get is a black screen and the VM won't boot.

The VM was working fine with 2048M of RAM before the reboot.

2011-05-31 Thread Davim
Just made a new test to confirm the bug.

I've created a new VM with 1024M of RAM and used Ubuntu 10.04 net install.
The VM installs fine but it doesn't even boot for the first time, if I reduce
the memory to 512M the VM boots into the newly installed OS...

Thanks Stefan I haven't been able to test those kernels yet, I intend to
test them until the end of this week...

I've noticed that the problem does not only occur on xenmotion but also
on suspend/resume.

kernels.

[Bug 681083] Re: Ubuntu Crashes/Freeze on XenMotion

2011-05-26 Thread Davim
Success!!!

I've just tested the kernels provided by Stefan and they solve the
problem :)

The test I made was:

 * Installed a new Ubuntu 10.04.2 VM (net install) with two vCPUs
 * Tried to migrate the VM to another Xenserver and confirmed it crashed
 * Downloaded and installed the generic-pae kernels provided by Stefan and
rebooted the VM into the new kernel.
 * Migrated the VM around several hosts, including the master, and the VM never
crashed.

Now the question is, when will we see this kernels as official for the
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS ??

Thanks Stefan.

[Bug 681083] Re: Ubuntu Crashes/Freeze on XenMotion

2011-05-13 Thread Davim
What do you mean by bugged host?
Hat is the problem with that host?
Reinstalling the host would solve the problem?
I have a pool with 10 hosts and all of my linux VMs (about 20VMs) are running
the same ubuntu kernel (2.6.32-31-generic-pae) and some of them always crash on
migration, some never crashed and some only crashed a few times...

I think that the VMs with most memory usage are the ones that crash more
often.

[Bug 11064] Re: can't resize HFS+ partitions

2008-02-06 Thread Davim
this isn't fixed! parted magic is able to resize hfs+ partitions why can't
Ubuntu do the same?
writing to hfs+ journalled partitions would also be great...

Thanks,
Luis Davim

I think this is very important for the composite by default and it would
solve the problem with wacom tablets and XGL :) please backport this
driver.

[Bug 147156] Wacom tablet doesn't work on XGL session

2007-09-30 Thread Davim
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xgl

I have a wacom tablet that works perfectly on a normal gnome session but
when I try to use it on a xgl session it only works as a regular mouse.
I have an ATI x200M graphic card and the only way to use compiz is with
a XGL session and I would like to be able to use my tablet and compiz at
the same time.

[Bug 84246] Re: USB power to mobile phone

2007-07-03 Thread Davim
same problem here, tested on tow laptos and one desktop, all have the
same problem, the desktop and one of the laptops have intel chipsets the
other laptop has an AMD/ATI chipset... this is a very big problem for
me because it makes difficult to use USB/serial adapters, some FTDI
adapters get automatically disconnected after a few seconds when idle...

[Bug 117877] Re: crash after a wmv opening

2007-05-31 Thread Davim
I have a similar problem.

the error message I get is:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ totem --sync CHEFE3.wmv
The program 'totem' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 67 error_code 11 request_code 141 minor_code 19)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
