[Bug 989750] Re: repeatedly asks for encryption password when backing up, even though "remember password" is ticked
Can this issue be escalated somehow? The backup feature is pretty much useless without it being fixed. The importance still has not been decided upon, and the bug is more than three years old. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/989750 Title: repeatedly asks for encryption password when backing up, even though "remember password" is ticked To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/989750/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 508063] Re: Please warn the user when VPN is disconnected
I still can't believe that this is not being recognized as a security flaw. [Bug 452519] Re: [Karmic] USB Card Reader Malfunction - clutter in DMESG
This is most likely a kernel bug and would need to be filed in the kernel bug tracker (the Linux one...). [Bug 508063] [NEW] No warning when VPN connection is dropped
*** This bug is a security vulnerability *** Public security bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager I sometimes use VPN for security reasons. I connect to an (insecure) WLAN or ethernet internet uplink and then tunnel all my traffic through VPN. Generally, this works fine using Network manager. For various reasons though, this connection can drop at times (Flakey WLAN, Re-plugging a cable, and so forth). [Bug 59695] Re: High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime
This bug is far from being fixed. I am using the latest -proposed packages in intrepid. Same behavior for me as for other reporters: When I boot up on AC power -> no problems. When I go to battery, the issue appears and will STAY even when I reconnect AC power. I get around 10 load/unload cycles per MINUTE. It will only go away after a reboot. This happens regardless LAPTOP_MODE=enabled or =disabled. I am using a Thinkpad X200s with a Seagate ST9160827AS hard drive. Please remove the "fix released" tags - this issue is NOT fixed. Plus, if I may add, I find it silly to claim that this cannot be fixed entirely because "the hardware sucks". [Bug 187313] Re: [MASTER] right click (with button release) might activate random popup-menu-item
As many people have noted, the bug tends not to appear for a while. Then when it does, it is usually triggered several times in a row. A way I found to make sure the next click does NOT trigger the bug when such an accumulation appears, is to keep the right mouse button pressed for a second or two on my next click, then release it. That brings up the context menu pretty reliably. I also think the "accessibility" thing has been mistakely interpreted as a workaround. Even if this is not technically a Ubuntu bug but a Mozilla bug, it would be really cool if the Ubuntu bug squashers could fix this as apparently Mozilla hasn't for a LONG time! -- [MASTER] right click (with button release) might activate random popup-menu-item https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187313 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 59695] Re: High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime
The Thinkpad X40 uses 1.8" hard drives that have clicking (and failing) issues all of themselves. Your issues are probably unrelated to the bug at hand. I am getting this issue with my new X200s Thinkpad using stock BIOS. It has a Seagate SATA ST91660827AS hard drive, firmware version: 3.CMF. [Bug 286859] [NEW] [0.7] [3G] "PIN secret invalid" even though PIN is correct
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager Version: 0.7~~svn20081015t224738-0ubuntu1 I am using a Sierra Aircard MC8781. When I try to connect to the network, I get asked for my PIN (which I enter correctly) but it is not accepted. I know this from the logs - I am attaching relevant log and console output to this bug report. As a feature request, it would be nice if the user were informed why he is getting asked for the PIN once more. Note: It will also ask me for the PIN when I enter it statically into the "saved networks" dialogue.
