Thanks for your bug report. A few questions from my side.

 1. Seems like this bug was reported a year back. Hence I would kindly
request you to first check whether it is reproducible in Hardy.

I am now at 5.13 in Hardy, and don't recall having this bug since
the upgrade. However, I haven't been using wxmaxima much in recent
times, so that statement probably doesn't carry a lot of weight.

 2. Which Distribution were you using? Which version of wxmaxima?

Probably 5.09, but now not sure.

 3. Can you please elaborate on the sequence of operations (any one) that
 led you to this freeze.

Nope. Long forgotten.

Why did it take so long to get around to asking me these questions?

[Bug 119927] wxmaxima cursor changes and freezes

2007-06-11 Thread Dick Silbar
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wxmaxima

If I accidentally click on something in the output window, sometimes my cursor
changes into what looks like a capital Gamma.
When that happens, I can move the Gamma around but the mouse will not click
anything successfully. (I can still type into the
input box when this happens.) I have not found a way to get back to a regular
cursor, even outside of any maxima window in
some other app. The only way out I've found is to kill all maxima-related
windows.

** Affects: wxmaxima (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed
