[Bug 705854] [NEW] caller station id (remotenumber fro pppd)
Public bug reported: With the RADIUS plugin pppd sending Caller-Station-ID attribute to radius server. But it need to know the IP address of caller station. It use information from 'remotenumber' command line option. I created a very small patch, which add the 'remotenumber XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX' command line with MAC-address to pppd command line. Withowt it pppd don't send Caller-Station-ID attribute to radius server. I already using this path many years at my ISP platform. It working good ! It is very important for ISP to know remote user IP. Please, consider to include it in distribution (see attached file). [Bug 705872] [NEW] delegate patch
Public bug reported: pppoe-server starts pppd with local and remote IP addresses specified in command line even if this is not configured. But if pppd using it's own configuration for endpoint addresses, then command line options, added by pppoe-server interfer with pppd configuration and precent from normal working. The are no any way to turn off this behaviour of pppoe-server and it adds it's own IP addresses to every spawned pppd. I'm using radius plugin in pppd for authentication and address assigment, but when pppd starts from pppoe-server with addresses specified in command line, then pppd using this addresses instead of those, configured by radius server. By analogy, pptpd daemon have configuration option delegate, which turn off this behavior and delegate address assigment to pppd. I created a patch for pppoe-server, which add new command line option -D, which cause pppoe-server to skip adding local and remote addresses to pppd command line and delegate address assigment to pppd configuration. This is working fine for me many years and I think it may be very usefull for other ISP like me. [Bug 706036] [NEW] missing required dictionary attributes for standard pppd
Public bug reported: Dictionary included with package radusclient-ng missing required attributes for pppd. When pppd receive attribute, which is not defined in dictionary it DROP CONNECTION !!! Steps to reproduce: 1) configure pppd for radius authentication 2) configure radius accounting with Acct-Interim-Interval at radius server After first interval, pppd send AccountingRequest packet and drop connection with 'unknown attribute' To fix this, need to include attributes, used by pppd to dictionary: # RFC 2869 ATTRIBUTE Acct-Interim-Interval 85 integer # Limit session traffic ATTRIBUTE Session-Octets-Limit227 integer # What to assume as limit - 0 in+out, 1 in, 2 out, 3 max(in,out) ATTRIBUTE Octets-Direction228 integer # Octets-Direction VALUE Octets-DirectionSum 0 VALUE Octets-DirectionInput 1 VALUE Octets-DirectionOutput 2 VALUE Octets-DirectionMaxOveral 3 VALUE Octets-DirectionMaxSession 4 Also, pppd unable to authenticate with radius, when Mictosoft MS-CHAPv2 authentication is configured because of no of this attributes defined in dictionary. All this problems is very simple to fix - just include all attributes, used by pppd to dictionary. I attached dictionaries for pppd and microsoft attributes. To include it, please add this to /etc/radiusclient-ng/dictionary: INCLUDE dictionary.pppd INCLUDE dictionary.microsoft Patch attached. ** Affects: radiusclient-ng (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: attribute dictionary ppp radius -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/706036 Title: missing required dictionary attributes for standard pppd -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Using update-manager to upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04 beta. After downloading packages, dpkg started updating from package libc6 and fail with error Segmentation fault on --configure, because configure command need old libc libraries, but new libc files already installed. Update process interruped because whole system become unusable and no one command can be executed - Segmantation failure causing on all commands. I'm using already running firefox to write this bugreport. After reboot my system will not start :( Attaching files from /var/log/dist-upgrade. ** Attachment added: main.log http://launchpadlibrarian.net/44089030/main.log -- The upgrade aborts now. [Bug 503352] [NEW] libsvnjavahl is not accessible by eclipse because of /usr/lib/jni is not in java.library.path
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libsvn-java I'm using eclipse 3.5.1 distributing by http://eclipse.org site. It's subversion plugin can't find svnjavahl-1 library. Installed libsnv-java package with /usr/lib/jni/libsvnjavahl-1.so library java.library.path=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.15/jre/lib/i386/client:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.15/jre/lib/i386:/usr/lib /xulrunner-addons:/usr/lib/xulrunner-addons:/usr/lib/xulrunner- addons:/usr/lib/xulrunner-addons:/usr/lib/xulrunner- addons:/usr/java/packages/lib/i386:/lib:/usr/lib /usr/lib/jni is not in java.library.path, so eclipse can't find libsvnjavahl-1 library. Workaround: ln -s ./jni/libsvnjavahl-1.so libsvnjavahl-1.so This fix the problem completely.
