[Bug 641712] Re: Not possible to enter password for a new user in KDM (Maverick)
I'm experiencing the same bug on KDM 4.6.5. I created a new user and when tried to login with it, I'm asked to change the user's password but I'm unable to type anything at all. I should mention, that I start a new session through KDE's KMenu after being logged in as another user. [Bug 307954] Re: [kepas] Multiple bugs both in plasmoid and system tray versions
"4. The configuration of the KPF is written in the kepasrc file but is never used if the application is closed and opened again (or added again for the plasmoid). So you end up in creating the server again after you logout and login KDE or after removing and adding the plasmoid again." That's really uncomfortable, it affects me and I have to manually set up public servers every time I start kepas. Nice app (really missed KPF) by the way ;). ** Changed in: kepas (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/307954 Title: [kepas] Multiple bugs both in plasmoid and system tray versions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 542729] Re: Buffer I/O error when my DVD reads any disk.
This bug affects me too, but with certain DVD discs only. Happens on Kubuntu 10.04 kernel 2.6.32-28. Note: The DVD doesn't appear in the device notification applet, so I have to mount it manually through console. It takes ~30 seconds to mount it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542729 Title: Buffer I/O error when my DVD reads any disk. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 399978] Re: Excessive heat versus excessive parkings
I can also confirm this bug with Acer ASpire ONE 150 with HDD TOSHIBA MK1652GSX on Kubuntu 10.04 HDD temperature rises only when AC is plugged in. I have to manually set a lower -B setting on hdparm to prevent hdd temperature from going higher than in windows. I also noticed that if I unplug and again plug the adapter, apparantly Ubuntu power devil reverts -B setting to a maximum level (or higher maybe), just so the HDD doesn't do head parking (load_cycle) excessivly. As a result its temp goes up :). So I guess maybe Ubuntu devs should set a lower default APM setting when the laptop is on AC, compromising a few load cycle counts for a more healthy HDD temperature :). Apparently doing some head parks when HDD is not used lowers it's temp and this is what Windows XP does by default on my netbook. -- Excessive heat versus excessive parkings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399978 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 280409] Re: KTorrent miscalculates small files size
Unfortunately the bug is not gone at all. Using KTorrent (Version 3.1.2 Using KDE 4.1.2) to download small files of the contents still messes up the chunks, but after manually deleting the damaged .srt files and forcing KTorrent to recreate them, the problem disappears, but only temporarily. The bug repeats with the next file I manually choose to download parts of the torrent. I think the bug is still present and the status of the bug report needs to be updated :( -- KTorrent miscalculates small files size https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 280409] [NEW] KTorrent miscalculates small files size
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ktorrent When I load a torrent with many files and folders and select all of them to be downloaded everything is ok. Before downloading if I select only few files, the're also ok. After downloading some of the files, when I select some of the previosly not downloaded files, there's some miscalculation with the file size. SRT files, wich according to the torrent info are 56KB when downloaded become 3.2MB. The subtitle files are readable, but when opened with Kate, there's a message saying "The file ... is a binary, saving it will result in a corrupt file." I'm using Kubuntu 8.04.1 and KTorrent 2.2.5 (2.2.5-0ubuntu1) I figured that this problem has something to do with the preallocation option wich I use, so i tried either basic (slow) and filesystem specific. ** Affects: ktorrent (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KTorrent miscalculates small files size https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to ktorrent in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
